Transmuting account bount items

I am not sure if this is an intended or not but after hours of grinding weapons of water from drowned shores for my GWF i decided to transmute that awlful trident looking thing by using the sinister mainhand from the trade bars, well seems that upon transmuting it changes from account bound to character bound...so now i have a xharacter bound main hand and an account bound offhand. so much for the idea of sharing them with my other GWG :/ Is there any way to revert back to having it be account bound again? Seems like it might be something that was overlooked by the developers, same thing goes for other account bound items that become character bound upon transmuting them.

Doesn't it warn you when you do it?

This is intended and the notice you get when transmuting even says so. It is to keep players from using their account bound items to transmute other players and their own items. It's been like this since NW came to the XBOX and has been like this since shortly after the first Summer Fest began on the PC, when the issue arose when folks flooded the market with transmuted common rags you get shortly after arriving in PE for the first time.

In short, when transmuting an item, the most restrictive bound status of the two items will apply.

The game does not provide any warning that using a character-bound item to transmute an account-bound one will bind the item. I challenge you to try it and see.

In fact, what the warning message says is that your account-bound item will keep all its properties and only the appearance will change. The warning message is to tell you that you're destroying the skin item and to let you know how much it will cost, if applicable.

I know it's an intended behavior and why (like Zeb says, it was a fix for sharing/selling of bound items). I also remember @asterdahl saying they really ought to stick a warning on it since they don't want to change how binding works.

I would also suggest a reasonable fix would be to make all purchasable character-bound transmute items account-bound.

Well i can tell you for a fact that there is no warning, also if you use an account wide transmute it will still retain the account bound status, seems like you just gave an easy answer without researching the problem, anyone could have said what you just did as a community moderator...please next time actually research the problem instead of just dissmissing it the way you just did.
