Lurker's Assault + Blade Flurry...for dummies

Hey guys,

I'm puzzled. I read in this forum about the synergy of Lurker's Assault + Blade Flurry, where, executed correctly, you can fit in multiple BFs while stealthed, before LA runs out.
I know prerequisite is being Exe for SoDs stealth regen (*) and I am, but I spent some time testing it yesterday on dummies and can't seem to figure out what to do.
I tried LA -> stealth -> BF,
and stealth -> LA -> BF,
but sometimes, even though I can't find a difference, BF puts me out of stealth, sometimes not.

What do I need to do to get it consistently?
Do I need the heroic feat Improved Cunning Sneak for this?

(*) I don't have 4 points in Tenacious Concealment for even more stealth regen, but if I remember correctly, the stealth regen of SoD is sufficient

As I recall, the only requirement is timing. There is a very fine line between going out of stealth and staying in stealth after the BF. Sometimes trying to jump in between can help you time it, much like old TR's used to do with DF in pvp.

If that doesn't help, try with the fourth pip in TC (free respec on preview) and see if that helps. I know I've gotten it to work there before.

Thanks for your timing tip, but I mean I get put out of stealth after the FIRST BF already.

I don't know about lurker's causing BF to not knock you out of stealth, that hasn't happened to me. I do stealth>blade flurry>lurker's>stealth(refilled from invisible infiltrator)>lots of blade flurries. The swings from stealth don't activate the cooldown, so you get two extra attacks in. You're getting bonuses from lurker's, arterial cut, shadowborn, invis. infiltrator, infiltrator's action, CA bonus...you get the idea. Big AOE burst.

every encounter used during lurker assault keeps critting like if you are actually in stealth even if you are not...check spamming impact shots.

I think as long as you hit the bf encounter before you pop lurkers, then stealth up again, the further strikes of bf shouldn't knock you out of stealth.

Edit, tested in wod. Yep, secondary strikes pop you out of stealth. But they do keep on critting.

Rotation. Stealth-BF1-lurkers-restealth-BF2345etc. I'd probably drop smoke first in normal runs against T2 trashmobs.

Any reason not to substitute WoB for lurkers..?

    Ie. Sb-stealth-BF1-Wob-itc-restealth- BF2345etc..?

Or does the crit-thing only happen with lurkers..?

I'd say if your crit is high enough, you'd do more damage using Whirlwind of Blades for the power increase if you are facing a bunch of mobs. In that case, I'd probably run stealth> smoke bomb> WoB> stealth> BF>BF>etc... If I'm not running with a good tank, I'd probably slot ITC in there somewhere.

If using Whirlwind to buff power, hit the daily right before your Smoke Bomb. It will not break Stealth, and your Smoke damage gets buffed.

    The BF123 - ~14 is a lurker + tc4 combo, imo, BF is sub-par without that combo.
The main benefit of it is also the amount of BFs you can do, just high crit will still limit to 4. While lurkers count as in stealth (not WAI imo) and allows to reach over 10 BFs.
Also BF will benefit from the stealth higher radius and feat bonuses for higher crit severity and higher damage (executioner)
Without those even with high crit chance BF has to low damage to be viable even vs Blitz / Smoke

For example stealth->dazing->WoB->stealth->smoke will do more than ..WoB->BF..
In general terms WoB adds 4k power per 1 mob, and from what I saw capped at 4.
So 16k power is about ~25% more dps at 25k power (I'll recheck this later), so it comes to the WoB damage , vs lurkers steatlth as lurkers adds +30%, and the players power .
