Auction bidding? Ensuring last second bid?

Trying to bid for a horse. Great price! Someone else and I gone back and forth few times, each only adding few AD coins! There about 3 hours left... how to ensure I can get last second bid.

I place bids on many things. Some things I B.O. some I wait. Some are contestested, some are not.
I once had bid on wonderful Enchanment Rank 5 for couple hundred. I had winning bid for most of timer, hours left, I was told outbid. I counter couple extra. Same thing, back in forth few times. With about a minute left, I tried placing counter bid. And said it was not accepted. I tried over and over again for final second, attempted to place bid 20 or so times, and I kept getting same response, unnaccepted, un til I could only watch final seconds count away, and I was unable to try out bid! Was experience a common situation? Server Glitch? did he BO? How would I know if he BO?

How to beat that last chance bid? How late into auction for Horse Can I bid, and ensure it goes through? How can I be sure my bid will be the last, and the other guy (sorry for his luck) is the one trying to last second bid and not succesful! I just placed a bid not too long ago, about 3h30m left on auction, and it went through. 10 min later, I get email, I'm OB again. So I'm done going back and forth... I wanna place the last second bid, and ensure I get my product! I don't wanna wait for another possible good price horse to come around! I can't pay what they are asking for horse right now at stables... it'll take me another 10 levels to gain that amount.

As far as trying to BO the horse? noooo way too much! no way! I barely have fraction of the BO price. If I did I wouldn't anyway! TOO high. The auction poster for the most part posted auction the way it should, low starting, let them work it out. How I post my for sales... but he set the BO so high! its rediculous!

If a buyout happens, there's no indication of that except that the item will disappear from your bid list.

Regarding close to last second bids, it seems the game will randomly allow/disallow it. I'm not sure if there's some relation about how many bids you placed before or not, but sometimes I get out bid on the last minute and I can't place a new bid. In another situation, I "won" the item (had the highest bid) when its state changed to expired but someone else either managed to out bid or buy it out.

It's possible that the timer doesn't expire at the exactly same time for everyone in order to avoid these situations where people try to game it by bidding in the last second(s).

The way you ensure winning is by overpaying; bidding significantly higher for something you are determined to win. The pragmatic approach -- if you want it bad enough then you'll pay more than it's worth. Weaseling in at the last second for a few measly aD more isn't showing much conviction and no, you can't ensure such a win.

I honestly think that AH bidding feature is one of the broken ones. As you keep playing you'll discover items which are stuck in the market and cannot be purchased, inaccurate price auto-suggestions, broken reverse sorting, broken gear search filters and inapplicable filters for the particular AH category, items purchased sometimes still showing up in the list, etc. Some people hate that, some people find their ways around and feel good about it.

If your bid won't get accepted it's because you got already outbid by another player in the same time you were trying to make your offer.
The list needs like 2-5 seconds to update itself.

Probably 3 bidders or more. You saw his counter, say 50 more, you try to counter with 50 more,but someone else put down 500 more. You need to refresh or blind overpay.
