Still no Controler support for PC?

I'm a disabled gamer, and yes, I could use pinnical or xpadder, I Do, whenever I play this thing. I am just hoping for native support one day.

I've been requesting this too. I hope they do add it at some point.

Hopefully they do... their loosing customer's otherwise.

Why would they be losing customers because they don't have controller support for PC? Is this some kind of bad joke? Controllers are so incredibly awful for character control in games like this, I don't understand why anyone would ever want it.

I have played this game with xbox and pc. Controller is only thing is miss from my xbox days. I agree it ain't as fast and accurate as K&M, but it is way more relaxed way to play this game.
Since this game is mainly mindless grind i would rather do it as comfortable as possible.

What's uncomfortable about easing back in a comfy chair while your hand is gently holding a mouse?
All your movements, including jump, and encounters even, like TAB and other commands can be assigned to the extra buttons
on the sides of a modern mouse. You could even get a Razer Nostromo and put everything on it.

I feel like people saying "but controllers suck" or "but you could do this instead" are missing the point. Whether you think controllers suck for this kind of game or not, or whether you think there's a better option, people are asking for controller support. The xbone has proven that they have a controller scheme for this game. There's no reason why they shouldn't implement it for the PC.

People are also ignoring the fact that the OP mentions being disabled. Don't you think if there was some kind of simple solution to their problem that didn't involve controller support, they'd do that? Integrated controller support is what they want, don't discount what they're asking for just because you think you have a better option for them.

I am siting in comfy chair and use my K&M, used to sit in same chair with xbox controller. Comparing those two, controller is way more relaxed.

Making more players able to play and happier about it is ultimately good for the game. I don't see any reason to be against this. I've used a keyboard for so long it would be hard for me to adjust but if someone needs/wants to use a controller -- go for it :D

To say it simply, it takes time. Time that could otherwise be spent on content creation. I highly doubt that there's a lot of players out there that play PC games with a controller. Especially when it comes to MMOs.

Right, and why have access ramps in to buildings for the disabled or Braille for the blind? I doubt many people use those things.

You can't expect a gaming company to re-write their entire game code just to accommodate you.
Most people who play on PC have used mouse and keyboard forever, and would never use a Nintendo style controller.

OK you want Cryptic's already stretched development team to put aside critical work to develop this controller thing for PC users when only a few players want it? That's insane. It would be like asking your city to stop collecting garbage for a few months because there are a few people that really enjoy the smell.

You are right there are more important things to do, like balancing (mainly sw), bring out more playable content (old dungeons would be nice) etc...
But those added controller is still more comfortable way to play :D

I, too, am disabled with a variety neurological issues and severe nerve damage in one hand (my dominant hand to be exact) that would make controller support seem to be a better option in PC gaming. I have given it a go in a variety of MMOs. I actually have a guildie in another MMO who was also been using a controller due to diabetic neuropathy and just recently started using a gaming mouse with great success. Using a controller and keyboard is better in most cases. Those of us who say controller support is superfluous might actually know what we're talking about. Also, controller support in MMOs causes UI lag, which is another reason why developers often opt out of providing support. The lag can be minimal, or it can be extreme. I've seen latency of up to several seconds while using a controller. Of course, there are variables, but these are all things that developers take into consideration when deciding whether or not they want to provide that support.

Consoles are "dulled down" versions of the game, so providing controller support is easier and they don't have to worry as much about the UI lag.

I really can't believe this community.
The OP is about making the game more accessible to people with disabilities.
How nice for all of you to have perfect bodies and minds with no limitations to what you can do.
To put forth ANY argument against something like this is pure, inconsiderate BS.

Being realistic and logical is not "inconsiderate BS". Illogical emotionalism on the hand ...

PC had controller support during alpha and closed beta testing. I don't know what the reason was that they had to remove it, but I'm sure there was a reason.
