PVP Rotation

So my main is a CW and I always got owned by HR's in PVP and purposely made a HR to PVP with but then ended up enjoying the class so much that I have done nothing but PVE with him.

Now that he is 2800 iLvl with about 13k power and 10k crit I want to finally try out PVP and see if I can dominate just like all those others that perm stun/rooted me before. I do not plan on respecing for PVP but would like to know what encounters people use.

10k Crit?

I am just over 2900 item level and my crit is just below 6k... how on Earth did you get it so high with that much power? My power is around 12k and Arm Pen bang on 60%.

Mine is at 34% (which is buffed by Aspect of the Serpent etc etc) so crits all the time anyhoo.

I am not at home to look right now but I have the horn, lantern, valindra shard, and sigil of controller all at lvl 139 ready to be mythic so I think that helps my power and crit a lot. My ArPen is above 60% but I also have the SH boon for 1000ArPen.

I am definitely struggling with my HR in PVP though and currently testing out Fox's, Hindering, and Constricting. I can often get the jump on people but due to either lag or just not being 100% with my rotation I can rarely finish it like the HR's that get the jump on me. I also do not have any PVP gear so I know that will help a bit once I can get a couple pieces.

Oh yeah, that probably answers your question...my crit is so high because I'm not wearing pvp gear.

I noticed the PVP gear is really lacking in crit.

Exact stats are 12,768 power, 11,840 crit, and 7955 ArPen. Gives me 49.2% crit chance

With those stats you should be solid in PVP though I would like to see the power a little higher. The higher crit chance is great because the more you critical hit the more you apply weak grasping roots with Trappers Cunning. I run the same encounter powers as you, so long as your rotations are on point and you circle around your target you should be able to keep the stun going unless someone is using ITC, etc. On a side note, I don't care how high your offensive stats are because if you don't have tenacity then you're going to get creamed. I highly recommend going for the Grim equip first and it's 2X glory right now.

Awesome. Definitely comforting to know that tenacity is that important and I don't suck that much, lol. I have 5 seals as of today so I can get my first SH piece after a couple more Siege wins. I'd hate to waste the seals on grim equipment that will just be replaced soon.

Also, what is ITC?

Thanks for the reply! I just need more practice with my rotations I guess. I know someone said that encounters can often be used before they even show up on your toolbar and I feel like I spend 80% of a battle staring at my encounter bar rather than at the fight.

ITC- Impossible to catch. MI TR's use it to instantly break you CC. In mod 5 I hardly used any Tenacity but in this mod running without is a death sentence. Btw 4 of those 5 seals will get you a complete set of Grim in 2 days with 2X glory and the tenacity total is not all that far off from BIS. Granted I don't know how far you are with banners, guild marks, etc.

I do not get it... you have more stats in all those than me yet you have less Item Score. How is that even possible?

I just want to know where all that Crit comes from ha ha.... I have full Elven Set and all my offensive runes on myself (and my companion) have Crit in and they are all rank 8-9. Then I have Lostmauth set at Purple (Belt is Orange), then I have 2 Orange Artefacts and 2 Purple ones at lv75, 2 purple Artefact Weapons, everything double slotted and best pants/shirt equipped.

All 3 of those stats you posted are way higher than mine and there is hardly anything left for me to get.

You are probably forgetting that companion gear/enchants don't increase your iLvl. I have mostly rank 10's and 2 11's I believe on my companion with 3 rank 10 profane stones that give 550 crit each.

Oh, and I am using an augment so stats show up on my sheet. Are you using an active companion?

Ah yes I recently switched and got a Yeti to Blue to test it out, now I`m testing an Air Archon with Greater Bonding Stones, will test a Mimic as soon as I get it

I keep forgetting about Augments now I have switched over, makes sense that your stats are like that as mine were much higher with my Cat.
