Truly how low can this class be?
1. My main issue is getting one shotted, all the time in epics. ( even with Fox's Cunning )
2. Dps is lacking.
3. Mechanics is, SPAM SPAM between range and combat. (during large fights its unplayable)
conclusion: Roll a Tank class to just stay alive to enjoy the game.

2) Don't Q for anything epic unless you have about 750 IL above the minimum. Gear gates have always been too low.
3) Get yourself VIP status and buy a shadow demon with trade bars at the first opportunity. It crits at about 100-110k reliably. Outfit it with azure offensive enchants and, of course, loyal avenger gear and a girdle of the striker.
4) All your offensive enchants should be azures. Brutal if you can afford/make R11s or 12s (and you pvp a lot, where critical hit resistance is a thing), but really we do the most DPS when our crit is about equal to our power. Since gear gives you way more power than crit, use azures.
5) It's been a long time since I ran Fox. You avoid being one-shotted by being a trapper, controlling/dazing everything and having a ton of lifesteal (and dodging to avoid control immune targets). After having to redo all my enchants since mod 6, I'm sitting at over 20% LS and basically never die in PVE except due to lag. I change my rotation around a bit, but usually in pve I run hinder/constrict/cordon (using cordon as little as possible due to the absurd charge refill time). In group pve, I substitute longstrider's for cordon since it seems - though I don't run ACT to back this up - that careful attack +gushing wound on bosses and elites helps the whole team's DPS at some slight expense to your own.
6) At the expense of some DPS, you can run hinder/constrict/marauder's or constrict/longstrider's/marauder's to keep zooming in and out of danger. I tend to use the former in pvp, depending on the makup of the team I'm facing. Obviously it's no good against the four classes that are basically control immune.
In fact side by side comparisons with removal of losty the two dps/cc lines of hr trapper and cw thaum or renegade, with removal of losty, you will blow them away, cw is only on par with hr trapper at that I level with losty set.
If cw moves into oppressor and removal of losty happens you are 25-30% up! In fact cw damage is quite low in comparison.
The only people you are not out parsing is some SW builds and most destroyer GWFs.
I have no ideal why people are so low on this class, unless you move outside of trapper. thats a different story.
But thats like a instigator gwf complaining or any other myriad variation of sub par lines.
Every class has a optimal line, you might not like this current HR one, but its there and it works quite well. The hybrid cc dpser is one of the most powerful classes in game in fact.
So I'm with Silverkelt on this one, HR are around CW damage now, only outdpsed by GWF and SW. CW only has the edge with with lostmauth and Oppressive force, because HR does not have this kind of instakill mobgroups daily.
About CSH: I respecced into it to give it a test run and I find the animation is too long and the fact that you move a few yards forward when you use the power, making it difficult in melee. Damage is good though.
The most important thing in life is to be yourself. Unless you can be Batman. Always be Batman.
The problem does not lie with trapper, but with the other two paths.
Archery should be the dps path, and I think it should be near the GWF-SW dps. I would make it like SW fury, very high single target dps, in the expense of CC and party buffs. At-wills should deal a lot more damage, and their animation should be faster (Rapid shot should be rapid).
I use CSH after ranged rotation, if the mobs are in good position (after cordon for example). It works well on bigger bosses too, escpesially on dragons. You need to position yourself to it's mouth or tail, because of the slowly moving away animation it hits dragons multiple times. Great against demogorgon or Tiamat too. Animation is very slow though, Seismic is faster/better in most cases.
