Hi All, so devs. what are your long term plans for Stronghold when considering small guilds and new players?
I mean, a game needs new players or the game is faded to die... However, it is not very attractive when it is hard to make AD in the game and when big guilds already have so much more benefit...
the improvements for guilds are very expensive, so this kills off small guilds. Because let's face, 8000 stats in one boon is a huge amount of stats... how are small guilds and new players supposed to catch up without being forced to join big guilds?
OK, another thing to address. what about stamina and AP drain. Let's be real, they damaged the PvP on PC very much, made a lot of players quit, and people are already complaining about it here too.
Stamina and AP drain glyphs heavily hinder some classes. For example, Guardian fighters are dependent on their shield to block attacks; thus, they need stamina. How can they even survive without their stamina? How are TRs supposed to survive without stealth lost from drop of stamina? etc etc etc...
Don't tell me we have wards option because we know that the drains overcome the values of the wards anyway...
And even if you address a fix about it, what are your plans for small guilds or new players that want to play PvP? after all, big guilds have a cap also, and it is kinda of boring when there is only 2, 3 guilds around you know?
I am not gonna mention bubble pally, imortal pallys or DCs combo, but just this stronghold boons and glyphs.
are there any plans to deal with the side effects of these stuff? a simple fix for the glyphs and drains would be make wards and drains totally equal no matter the boon enhancement. Or make them not bind to pick up, so players can sell them on the market to players from guilds that haven't reached that point? or make an auction house for guilds, where players can buy directly from it (gear, and glyphs) and what they spend go to the guild coffers instead? or make them work in Siege only? Or give them a good icd?
something?
I am in one of the big guilds, and I still agree that the boons are too strong... I do agree due the expensive resources required we should be rewarded, but I don't think it should be at the expense of killing the pvp for new players and new small guilds. Maybe reduce the effectivity of these boons a little?
The complaint on PC is very high, yet you guys seem busy creating new rings that will break the game even more, why don't you fix what is broken first?
Thank you.

I appreciate a small "close friend" guild, I reluctantly joined a "big" guild because it's been a near necessity in MMOs for the past 10 years or so. When the end game of Strongholds became clear, it was obvious that their design is to make large guilds (probably better for player retention?). It still shocks me how many guilds were scrambling to recruit in Zone the day before SH. I mean it was on PC forever, Arc couldn't have made things more clear how they wanted the game to go. Again, I don't agree with this and I think small guilds should be viable, and absolutely they should have figured out a way to do both - but they didn't and that was known since nearly the start.
Anyway - my solution would be for the glyphs to remove only x% over time, and introduce a cool down. Still a nice advantage without being so insanely OP.
Would it be easier with more players? Sure it would and we are always happy to have new members and we do what we can to help them out (as our two latest additions are finding out
However even without them will we make Guild level 5 before the new year and build our first Boon Structure? Absolutely we will
To the small guilds out there do not lose hope it is doable just takes longer, its not all about PVP despite what some would have you believe.
