The new "Ring of Natural Order" that will drop from mod8 content is arguably the single most game changing item to ever be introduced in terms of pvp. Unlike stamina/AP drains, there is no counter to the ring. I tested on preview today and here is how it works:
- Instantly removes a players entire buff bar (anything green) without any selectivity at all
- Has a 60s cooldown but may proc on more than one attacker at once
- Erases a full bar of pots and buffs including elixirs, invoke buffs, VIP bonus, lucky coin, etc
- Removes any buffs from weapon enchants (Tfey, THoly, TNeg, etc) or artifacts
- Removes any buffs from class feats, encounters, even core class mechinics
- Any debuffs (red) applied to yourself or enemy are not affected (ex. TFey 16% dmg debuff)
- Any buffs which are "constantly applied" such as VIP bonus will return quickly
- GWF: Lose all damage stacks such as destroyer capstone stacks. Does not remove unstoppable
- DC: Lose Astral shield and much of their DR, removes gift of faith (other players)
- TR: Does not take them out of stealth but removes buffs associated with stealth like CA bonus. Removes ITC.
- CW: Removes things like feat buffs, chill stacks, capstone procs, shield?
- Pal: Not tested but probably RIP
- HR: Largely unaffected aside from some minor buffs like CA dmg and fox shift
- SW: Resets all sparks to 0 (core mechanic to pvp survival), removes 5x dreadtheft stacks, removes warlock's bargain link, despawns soul puppet and immo spirits from daily.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=B3k-0n_vh9wOne problem is this ring is in effect a major buff/nerf to all classes with an as yet unknown overall outcomes in pvp. For some classes the buff removal is relatively minor but for other classes it is catastrophic. For SW for example, the ring is a major de facto survival nerf since core paragon/survival mechanics are hugely impacted with soul sparks being stripped (even though oddly the visual GUI sparks remain showing full stacks, spark benefits vanish), puppet being despawned (r.i.p. damnation), and 5xDreadtheft DR buff being stripped off. For GWF, the ring is a huge damage nerf because they will seldom have the stacks they need to do any serious damage.

Like, the players ask for a balance to crazy amount of power and spec differences... so their answer is to simply reset everyone to 0? I dunno about what others think, but for me, that's a straight up middle-finger up the face of every PvP player that was discontent with how things have gone down.

...shoulda known the developers were actually trolls.
If you know something to be broken, stop using it.

Most pvp'ers are going to dedicate one ring slot to this ring as it is now because no other ring comes close and impacts all classes in a profound way. The other good rings are more situation/less powerful compared to this one.
Preview shard is for advanced testing prior to live.
So that things like this have a chance to be changed before they go live.

I think these rings in general are gonna dumb down pvp alot. but really this is where its been heading for awhile
How long does the effects last?
It will definitely help maxed premades to clean nodes faster.......

There will be a completely new order in PVP caused by "the one ring" and in case Hunter will not be effected and roots in top...lol I can vaguely predict how this will gonna end
Indirect soulbinder SW nerf is the best however. I mean...indirect nerf to the only really viable PvP build of the less powerful PvP class...is like kicking SWs in the balls.
Now, also, CWs/HRs/GFs will burst from the start as usual. GWFs will...yeah...spend some time trying to buff their pathetic base survivability and damage, before dying. Cause the ring will remove countless scars too and the removal of damage buffs that are harder to build up like capstone stacks (get damage-go unstoppable-hit 10 times in 8 seconds the enemy) and destroyer (focused feat) stacks, reducing Life steal while an HR or CW will still LS the HAMSTER out of the GWF.
It's however very funny how we were all waiting for some balance and they come out with something even more idiotic. Always item-based. Cause we don't like to balance core mechanics of classes/ builds.
And in the meanwhile, commanderdata will still be angry cause GWFs and SWs will be untouched in PvE...poor dude.
I think that our devs...mmmh...let's just say that balancing PvP is not their thing.
CWs are also untouched, one-rotating GFs too.
And it's not like these classes are weak in PvP, when properly built.

Also, GWF base damage, unlike HR base damage or GF or CW base damage, is very, very low. Which is the reason why the devs, in their stupidity, compensated with 4858339 self buffs. All deleted. And on top of that, GWF capstone stacks do not refresh every 10 seconds. It requires the GWF to take damage, and go unstoppable first. And then hit the enemy.
That ring doesn't cripple the efficiency of CWs, GFs or HRs in PvP much. You probably won't even notice. My trapper will barely notice the change.
On the other side, my soulbinder and my GWF will eventually, once it spreads, find themselves naked half of the time.
Now, just FYI, a Soulbinder with no sparks and a GWF with no buffs, with nothing but their "base" survivability and damage, do not even pose a threat to any HR/CW/GF, and are an easy prey. Imagine once the rings spread and pretty much any PvPer will have one...
On a superlol side note, SW sparks also disappear quite fast out of combat. So it's not even like these are always up already. These rings will add up. So sparks will delete both out of combat and in-combat. Funny right?
On an ultralol side, for a Fury SB the puppet is a way, if used with skills, to defend, when you manage to spawn it. And it doesn't last long on fury, but still, helps if you can use it to mess up enemy aim. Now the soul puppet will be no more cause it gets despawned.
I think you do not realize how many tools it takes away from soulbinders and GWFs in PvP. Expecially with multiple enemies using it.
We will see. But knowing how mechanics work, and reading/ watching how the ring works...not much hope.
But as long as everybody follows these stupid implentations, me too, using broken enchants broken mounts broken boons broken encounter etc. its useless to discuss
I am really curious about PVP in mod 8 facing a Team with five rings and stamina and AP- draining glyphs rank 2...
I will not pay much attention on PVP in that mod any more playing the wrong class
Make PVP not playable for anyone, then noone will complain.
I could add: delete pvp subsection on forum and moderate strong to remove any pvp thread = problem solved.
