Companion Commands?

pentnoirpentnoir Member Posts: 89 Arc User
Are there any companion commands? I'd like my tank companion to attack the mobs before I do, but can't figure out how. If there are no commands, then is there any work arounds besides walking up to the mobs, have them all get one hit on me, then my companion tank can do his aoe taunt.

What do you think this is? Everquest? A game from 1999 wouldn't have more controls for pets. Oh... wait. It did.

I'd be happy to just be able to dismiss my soul puppet so that I can resummon it on boss fights. Currently it gets stuck outside of every major fight.

lol I miss GW1 on pc for that, you could actually flag companions to stand where you wanted and set their behaviour types between avoid combat/respond to attacks/full aggressive. These commands were adjustable per companion or by subgroup (you could have a full team of them for soloing)

Oh really? Maybe I should try that game. Sounds like an easy match to take a team of companions (tank, healer, dps), set all of them on full aggressive mode and then all you have to do is to follow the route of corpses they left behind.

Although neverwinter has a similar mechanic to offer. It's called domination. 3 players or more chase after 1 unlucky guy that decided to stand at the wrong time on the wrong place and mili seconds later when they finished him they chase for the next unlucky player.

The big question would be how?
I think the controller needs a little attention. I don't need to be able to prey at the drop of hat, but I'd love another spell casting option.

My companion has two commands: "get over here", and "go away".
