So wait, I leveled out of the story?

So I hit level 60, because apparently the only way to really get Astral Diamonds is to do things like skirmishes and dungeons which end up pumping up your level, and suddenly I am not getting more quests along the main content anymore. So did I manage to level myself out of the main story line? And I basically had a choice between either playing out the story or making AD? Disappointing.

Nah, some characters do not have anything over there head to point you out to them but will give you the quest if you talk to them. Wich part of the game are you at?

Well I hit Sky Pirates, and the story line just stalled out at Shaben Shortcloak who did not give me any followup quests and with no one else to talk to. Now I am roaming about Icespire Peak. I got one quest from Bolbin Ironbrow and two from Vaile Birchsmith and that was it.

You should speak to Sgt. Knox to pick up the story line. You have outleveled quite a few zones, it looks like. Pick up every quest he has, and then open your quest journal and look at the levels of each quest to get an idea of the progression.

Yes, I have done that, and I have the intro quests for several areas. I was just wanting to finish off the story lines of the ones I was in, but apparently the developers stop putting quest givers indicators after a while? That's just sloppy. That's like foundation level MMO stuff which it seems like the developers gave up on.

Sable, Icespire Peak and Pirates Skyhold can be a bit difficult to pick up the story lines as you have to get the next part from a different npc and there is no notice of this. The second npc is usually near the last one you spoke to though so have a look around.

E.g. in Icespire, when you're about halfway up the mountain at a small camp you finish a quest with one dwarf, you half to talk to the next one nearby and he'll give you a mission to find notes from scouts - that's the next part of the progression.

A trick is to look on your map for ! symbols - those are npc's with quests you haven't done yet.

You can use this Quest List as a guide to find quests you may have out-leveled. They're listed there in order of category, then level and progression.The only inconsistency is Sharandar, Dread Ring, Icewind Dale, and Well of Dragons. These should all appear after Spinward Rise now.
