Question about Strongholds and Guilds

I'm still not in a guild and had a question about what to look for in a guild for upcoming Strongholds. Active of course but do I want to look for a very large guild or a smaller mid range? I saw mentioned too big of a guild could not be good for progression in the campain.

You're going to be looking for a reasonably large group of people who play daily to drive the influence gathering, each character can only gather 400 per day and structures require hundreds of thousands of influence. Campaign currencies may be more of an issue on X-box than it is on PC as we've had longer to build stockpiles of it.(And very little else to do, but that's a whole other topic). AD rich characters are also extremely coveted. The shards from stronghold "content" are not the limiting factors.
Influence ONLY comes from SH HEs and each character can only get 400 per day initially, this WILL be your predominate speed limiter. AD/Gems and equipment come next and can be farmed at a greater speed by fewer individuals, but can still bottleneck you.
In summary a Mid-sized heavily focused guild can do it in a timely manner, but may burn out some players, a large more casual guild can do well as long as everyone pulls enough weight, a small guild less than 50 daily active players will more than likely implode, explode or whither.

Bare in mind, having seen some of the PC forums and problems with Stronghold, you're going to wanna make sure you join a genuine guild... By that I mean that they are actually decent, nice people. It seems loads of people, having donated to the coffer in their stronghold, have been randomly kicked from their guild. You don't get a refund, you don't keep any boons you've all acquired. Beware.

You can lose any acquired boons? Wow!

This. Make FRIENDS with your guildmates. It'll lessen the chance of you being booted after contributing hard work, imo.

Yeah wow! You seriously need to read up on what can happen with this guild issue in Stongholds!

Do you feel like donating stupid amounts of time, effort and stuff/items/AD/currencies etc for how ever long only to be booted and loose it all? Don't think this will happen? It has and still is happening on the PC version so good luck with the console version of it!

That's messed up if you can lose your boons. Smh.

The boons are 'guild boons' i.e. all members benefit from them for as long as they are members. But you keep the stuff you personally purchase such as armour etc.

You don't lose any campaign boons. If you move guilds and they have active boons you'll benefit from them upon joining.

I love how people think this will be the demise of small guilds, it isnt hard you just ally up with other small guilds and swap alts, if the guilds go different routes for boons then you swap alts that benefit that character in that guild.
It also reduces the risk of nutjob Guild leaders as you always have a home and they know it :)
So to the smaller guilds out there huddle up and build alliances :)

As mentioned in the other thread
    link http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Stronghold is from @magenubbie
about the costs of a Stronghold.

You might want to take a look at this, and see for yourself what you have to invest before you even get access to the market, not to mention those guild boons.

Small guilds will become problems with providing the resources needed to build and upgrade a Stronghold to a usefull ranking.

And after reading up on what is still happening on the PC side in some guilds, Xbox players might want to think twice about buying Stronghold packs from the AH or the ZEN shop.
There's no guarantee for anything you invest into the guild here.
And the guild leaders are holding all the cards.
The guild marks you get for your investment are only worth something, as long as you have access to a guild market.
Not to mention, that there might be new/better equipment coming with Underdark.

You might rather want to invest your AD and money into ViP instead, and start collecting the daily lockbox keys for Underdark and the new lockboxes... just look around for more informations, and read up about it.

And while joining a guild at the beginning of Strongholds will be easy, this will change in time, when guilds start to reach those guild boons.
