There's a cooldown on that effect - once per 20 seconds IIRC. And it doesn't work on boss-level enemies, either.

I guess that it interrupts special NPC abilities (red zones) for a timespan.

That clarifies a few things. I run frosts in both slots right now, simply because they're the cheapest, and I have never seen any indication that they're doing anything at all (except maybe the damage boost). It'd be nice if there was an indicator that something happened, so that I can adapt to take advantage of the situation. If they can't hit me for 4 seconds, it'd be great to know I don't have to drop that smoke bomb for another 4 seconds.

I have a Greater Frost I've put on different toons. It sits on the GF I rarely play, and don't notice the effect when I do. None of them really open up with an AE, except my GWF, and I'm not giving up his Vorpal. My CW could open up with Icy Terrain, but that stuns them anyway. The Frost would be redundant. I suppose I could put it on the DC for Divine Glow, but I like the Perfect Terrors debuff better.

My HR has a Lesser Frostburn, and I certainly never notice a freeze with it.

It does not freeze or stun. It dazes enemies. They can move, but can't attack. Like TR's smoke bomb.

There should be something above their heads indicating that they are daze
  • daniloslvdaniloslv Member Posts: 99 Arc User
@solbergx It works like a daze, but there is no visual indication over their heads.

OP, take a look at this old thread, it has some nice info about frost and frostburn enchants http://forum.arcgames.com/neverwinter/discussion/532188/frost-frostburn-enchantment-analysis/p1

I find with my frost enchantment on my SW (Jadis) and my fellow guild member who is a CW and her weapon enchantment (can't remember what it is) that we really do work well as team in dailies area; especially in WoD and IWD as we jokingly put it: "we melt faces."

Then maybe our classes balance each other out; either way I find my SW and her CW a lethal combo in daily areas.

It plays good in pvp vs op and gf! i think it messes with their shield since it lowers recovery, can someone confirm this?

frost enchant need to rework. Add slow effect(30% on trans) or something useful and more weapon damage.
