GMoP refunds are in order

hipranger1hipranger1 Member Posts: 42 Arc User
You really should check your logs for every GMoP purchase from Wondrous Bazaar over the double RP weekend, and refund the difference between the old price and the new price. Announcing the price change immediately after the massive purchases of these overpriced marks is reprehensible.

KEY POINT: They didn't tell you to spend money, you did that on your own.

LOL What do you expect? They are a company who wants to make money. They know you will spend real Money during Double XP because you don't want to grind for anything. You People's thought process: omg double XP better buy everything I can to upgrade so people think I am cool.

So of course they won't drop the price until AFTER they squeeze the people for all they got. Its not shady business, its called making money. And if you people are "dumb" enough to spend real Money on this game....its your own fault.

Good luck on getting rewards, you'll sooner get a ban than that. They should do a lot of things for the playerbase but, simply don't care enough to. Too bad, decent game up to mod 5. Then they ducked everyone.

Just don't expect to keep playing afterwards.

If the PC folks didnt get a refund on the same thing, then I dont think you will either. Sorry.

People get banned on PC for for chargebacks. Refunds and chargebacks are not the same thing. If a refund is made it means that Microsoft validated it on their end instead of you going behind their back to your bank. MS being involved means there's a better chance at getting a refund, but who knows. Maybe if enough people raise a ****storm with MS support then PWE will have to reconsider how they handle changes like this (at least on XBOX). Can't imagine MS wants to keep games that actively screw over their customers on their platform.

I knew the GMoP was going down to 25k even before Double RP because I check the PC News as well as the Xbox, even though I don't play PC, it's always nice to know what's coming.

It's like going out and buying something for 100$ and few days after it's on sale. The shop isn't going to refund you or anyone.

Eh. The problem with this assumption is that PWE knows that most people don't check the forums. They were reluctant to even post anything about it in the news section on the launcher. The day before the price change hit on PC I went into Protectors Enclave and there were still people that didn't know it was happening.

And actually some stores do offer partial refunds. Amazon being the most notable.

But you had no idea when that was going to be implemented...
That is what should have been announced well before an event that they know will sell a LOT of GMOP's...

Question: what would people have done different if they HAD announced that GMOPs (etc) would be reduced in price after the 2x RP event? Would people have not refined and, if needed to, not bought greater marks?

The most appropriate thing imho in that case would have been to still refine as much as possible but in such a way that all the overflow RP was applied at once in the end so that the artifacts/gear were ready to be leveled.

This is actually what I have ended up doing - not because I anticipated this change, but because I didn't have the 350K AD to level my 3 artifacts from Rare to Epic. I was generally hoping for the prices to go down post DRP, but the reality came out even better - so I was able to make the upgrades at ~140K AD instead.

LOL, you expect a refund for something you bought on your own free will? Did they force you to enter your CC #? NO. Did they force you to select the amount of Zen you wanted to buy? NO. Is this a Free-To-Play game? YES. Who's fault is it that you CHOOSE to waste your money on this game? YOURS.

Get over it. You blew your money, and your not getting it back. And you won't get any compensation either.

Actually you're wrong. MOST businesses WOULD refund you the difference.
    It's called GOOD customer service.

That's not this game or its Devs. And I guarantee you that Microsoft would not/will not give anyone their money back since they paid for it on their own free will. They did not force them to buy those things, and there was no glitch forcing them to buy those things.

If there was a CLEAR glitch/mistake in you being charged, then they would address it. Other than that you are SOL
