Wow, I've been gone way tooo long

Took a 6 month hiatis and omg even gear score is no longer used. My main toon had a GS of 20,000 now 2400 item level what ever that means. I feel like I'm playing a different game. I used be the mentor for newbies now I'm one. I so many guestions like is my Black Ice armor any good and the list goes on.Is there a link to any sites to help me transition, or maybe someone who has been through this situation that can give me some pointers?

This will be a RUDE awakening. BI gear is usable for a while... since I believe each piece is 116 iL. You have quite the head start... with a 2.4 iL... take advantage of it.
Even with the doubled XP and the halved minimum required quests... I had to do ALL of the EE content(2x Minsc quests, the required EE content for his level, ToD dailies and SH dailes, including the HE runs for influence... every day). He had Azure r7s slotted and the Inscribed clothes... for a 53% XP increase. All told the number of quests needed to finish the EE zones was about about the same... but I was 3 levels short of 70. During my trip through the EE content the first time I did a minimum of 10 quests per area, but that only got me to 67. So I was able to do everything all over again.
I ended up running through 3/4 of the EE content (Drowned Shores, Rec Rock, Spin and the Minsc quests), gain with a minimum of 10 quests for each area until I hit 70. That second time through took 2 days, when they first time through took 3... for a totl of 5 days needed and close to 400 quests to complete the journey from 60 to 70.
That was due to their insistence that the XP amount needed to level is to remain the same. Here is why there is still an issue. They increased the XP req for each level... by 255%. They increased the XP given from completing each quest by 200% and they reduced the minimum number of quests needed by 50%.
Do you see where the deficit is... and they insist that the journey is better.
In CA we offer to help every new member on their journey through the 60 to 70 bull HAMSTER... because many of us have leveled toons with the original way... and this way.
Its borrrrring, worst part of the game, with very little incentive to run through alts anymore (in fact lvl 60 gets you the same benefits of a lvl 70, unless you were going to play it, and frankly who has time to play another class more then a couple anymore?
DONT throw away your old gear, save it all, turn it in during a double weekened at some point (but if you have some of the old t2 gear that debuffed, you might want to hang unto it, some of it is still .. BiS.. lol, yes im not kidding, even though it sux.)
