Anyone else feeling lost since the EE update?

brimfulbrimful Member Posts: 5 Arc User
Before EE I was a 14k Trapper Hunter, daily I knew what I was doing and working towards. Now I log in and have no Idea what I'm doing and what I should even try to be accomplishing. I can't be the only one feeling this way. I've been running the same missions over and over again in the drowned coast but it just feels so empty... Am I missing something?
Please help.

  • Basically, you will be farming the same area(s) over & over again 2 hit lvl 70. What lvl are you though? Farming Drowned Shore will take longer as the quests offer less xp compared 2 Fiery Pit & Spinward Rise (assuming your high enough lvl 2 do those areas). Make sure 2 equip Azure's in your Utility slots 4 extra xp. You probably feel lost as there are 2 quests 2 do daily, then its off 2 farm 2 gain lvls, & 2 progress 2 higher lvl areas. Hopefully that helps some. If you can provide more info, then please do so

Thanks Blizzard I'm currently sitting at 62 1/2 and I am a soloist right now haven't been able to find an active guild (they all seem to be empty shells gathering places for soloists lol), just bumping around on the dailies and Heroics. I was just wondering if that was the right direction or if I was missing something.

Just put azures in your utility slots and bust through 8x3 tasks per area - having that as a goal should keep you focused and give a sense of progression.

Mainly run the gold story line missions, 8x2 to be able to move onto the higher lvl maps for new missions. Just make sure you're within two lvls of the mobs. Also run the barracks, maw, towers, etc as much as possible for the big XP. Farm run with groups. With some of the missions giving the higher XP rewards, for example two different ones for Barracks. If you run and complete the barracks for one of the missions it will give you a completion for both giving you over 30k XP. There won't be anymore story line missions once you hit lvl 67. (For me anyway) Then it's continuous choice of missions to repeat until you're 70. Where all of the new missions start in PO and the other new maps. Also, if you haven't already, use Azure in the utility slots. Though I'm sure you already have.

If you want to run the mission, say "raid nimbus tower" Just Zone chat Nimbus tower and the instance number you're in and you will usually get an invite from someone wanting to run that same mission or vice versa. Easiest way. Something I never actually did prior to lvl 60.

I've been doing what others have recommended here. But I know there's a lot more that I'm missing that has me confused too. Just recently I heard about free levels and artifact. I'm going to look into that tonight after work. I think I'll finally join a guild and get more in-game communication.

At lvl 68 I was finished with pretty much all those missions then did some giant farming. I was getting about 220k an hr. After I hit 70 the real fun began. Didn't save fangs in mod 5 so you cant get the elemental gear? Everything gets you in one shot, 1600 ilvl dungeons you can't find a group that can get past the first boss. Then your left with farming pvp for better gear until you have good enough gear to even try the t1 dungeons. Witch you still get killed in one shot. Its a nightmare but I'm farming pvp now its a long grind to get your character back on top.

Yup. Im lost too. I got to 60 day before expansion came out. thanks to Double XP. I feel like playing on xbox and grinding to end game is pretty easy but its a new level when u hit end game. and the grind seems longer even though they made it easier recently from a patch. most of my 5 toons dont have a guild. its hard to chat with anyone in game unless u have a microphone headset. even then most dont. end game gearing is so confusing. i hav no idea what to work towards and these repeat missions are for the birds. i refuse to buy any xp boosts. the items in game to buy is too expensive. least in swtor its cheaper and things are more explainitory and end game leveling from an expansion is easy to grind and the mods are easy to acquire thru missions and adding those mods to your gear. in neverwinter its all enchantments and stones which i have no clue so i sell all to the vendor for gold.

@zephyron76 if you state your class you'll have several people of the same giving you advice but DON'T SELL the enchantments & stones!!! You need those for your artifacts! I assume you have artifacts and know how to refine them - if not, please state below & you'll get plenty of good advice.

For now just have Azures in your Utility slots to boost XP. Do the 3x8 missions in each area and you'll be L68 (if you aren't by now - just noticed you posted 3-4 days ago).

Don't worry about armour type for now as you'll be getting brand new stuff at L70. Alliance and/or PvP is a good place to start, then get working on black ice.

Also, at 70 go to Sharandar & Dread Ring to begin the Campaigns (for boons) and go to Ice Wind Dale, kick things off there & talk to the guy at the back of the bar with a quest - it'll open up the option for your class sigil artifact.

Wait until your armour improves before tackling any serious stuff in IWD - the area is harder than Sharandar & Dread Ring.

This advice seem to be quite arguable to me. At the moment the richest people are trying to gear up and paying big money to get these stones faster without grinding. By the time you would need to use these stones the price might be down by a lot with lots of people farming Dread Ring and such for epic marks. So you can sell high now and then buy low later. Same idea applies e.g. to epic resources like unified elements.

Won't you be selling higher if you wait for double refinement? I am hoarding with the intent to use most of my stones, but I imagine the price will go up when that happens.

There are several assumption you have to make to model the most profitable course of actions.
Like: when will the DRP happen, what will the price of marks be by then, what will the price of marks be right after it (remember you can apply refining points once with overflow), what return-on-investment for AD you have in your wallet is, etc. My overall strategy is to have a quicker turn-around instead of long term investments. The game rules change too quickly so day-trading is safer than hoping for a profit in a month or two.

It seems they are doing it this weekend and if past record is anything to go by the cost of RP will jump - as will the cost of Zen.

I'm quite happy putting up with a few weeks of lower abilities when I know they are all going to jump at once by a large amount. I've also already bought my marks in preparation - the cost of those is already going up.
