Summarize mod 6 for an Xbox player

Mod 6 is new to us Xbox players. It seems like I excelled in mod 5........ Castle never runs at 12k gear score with successful downs of dracolich and towards the end at 15-16k gs we pulled adds from one boss to the next. Mod 6 though...... Maybe I'm just forgetting what it feels like to start from the bottom but I don't remember mod 5 being nearly as challenging even when first starting out. So my question is this, is pc still facing a challenge with mod 6 also or is it for the most part back to normal? Also what are some strategies to help clear the dungeons, skirmishes, etc? I've cleared kessels retreat so far without a tank simply by having everyone summon their Agro drawing pets. Iron golem works great by the way. Ads love him and he seems to be able to tank indefinitely without dying. Are strategies like that going to be necessary for clearing this later content? Basically I'm just looking for pointers from some pc players who have already gotten a routine going. Mod 6 is the grindiest content yet and I'm just looking to gather info to help my guild get through is as quickly and stress free as possible. All suggestions are appreciated and welcomed.     Well it seems you got it easy without DR bug ın the dungeons.You say it is challenging and you run content without a tank.No way you could run those dungeons/skirmishes without good tank.Lots of people got sick of oneshots and left on PC .Overgearing was the only answer for PC side.Thanks for those old BIS players who carried us though dungeons at the start of Mod6

    The content may be " the grindiest content yet", but you at least do not have the DR bug, thanks to us.

    Whe you can run anything without geared classes for every spot, you have it easy. A fast reliance on OP tanks became the norm. and the GF, temporarily, took back-slide. Now things are different, for us, in M7. We are just contending with a lot of other issue that seem to be hampering game play. The 70 content is doable now for most 70 players... so the balance has re-entered the mix.

    Get used to fielding a lot of requests to run content that is no longer there. I am going to believe that most of the M5 DD content is gone... if it isn't... I would tell you to keep your mouth closed and move on.

    The rules changed in M6... viable paths became broken and not so viable become the norm... out of desperation and a need for change.

    You don't seem to have the issues that we have hear... the continual dwelling at 60 left a lot of players in ruts and made them turn to activities and a standing that did not allow for such drastic changes in their world. Many players spent 2 years at 60... with little to entertain themselves. So those idle hands did other things to cope. So our state is something you will never experience.​​

    Our guild ran Malabogs Castle, Kessels Retreat, New Epic Shores, New Lair of Louthmuth, and Valindras Tower last night and with out a tank, so it is very possible. Would have been easier with one though. We wiped a few times and had to find proper strategy but the tank wasn't required. The key for us was a lot of DPS and Controll with a kick But DC. My advice would be to gear up as much as you can prior to running, focus on getting your HP and AP up to you can survive the hits and penetrate the mobs buffed armor. Anyone squishy needs to stay on the move the days of standing still in the middle of a mob AOE and going hammy on the mob and relying on your DC 's shields ad heals to keep you alive are over. Keep shifting and moving. Our group was made up of DC, CW, TR, and 2 Trappers some times changing out to 1 Trapper and 2 TR's.

    I can and have beat kessels retreat without a tank. We had a gwf, rogue, cw cleric and another cw. We beat it twice. As for everything else no I have not even gotten close without a tank. Actually so far I've only beat kessels retreat. It seemed like my group could have beat mallabogs castle but we'll never know cuz the dungeon is bugged. The boss fight epically lags and it gets worse and worse the more you wipe. We had him to 25% second try, lag spike, game over. If I may ask one thing, I heard there's a huge nerf on ads in mod 7. Does it restore the fun if the game and is it actually balanced now?
    Also currently the average item score of my group is about 2k-2.2k range.

    Monsters used to completely ignore your defense and even do double damage on you. GF with shield up? NP, oneshot by an archer mob in eCC.

    The ads nerf you are talking about is already live on the Xbox. Monsters used to hit 25% harder and have 50% more life on the PC, this change has been reverted, you guys are playing the newest changes when it comes to PvE. Your paladins even seem to have a bigger variety of auras, so in some aspects, you are ahead. Only thing that Strongholds is going to add is a huge currency sink for guilds and players will be practically forced to join huge guilds to be able to keep up.

    A word of advice to you Xbox players: Don't invest money, and don't invest feelings into this game. I've watched Cryptic HAMSTER this game time and time again and it never stops. Enjoy it while it lasts, but understand that this game is on life support and you have to be ready to move on.

    Well on a positive note we beat lostmauth for he first time last night. 2 rogues a trapper a tank and a cleric. Smoked him and finally got some gear. Once were fully geared guess we're gonna try to fight valindra. Wish us luck! Also one of our party has switched to a plague fire. Rebuffing apparently is huge now. Never had to worry about that in mod 5. Learning all sorts of new HAMSTER with this new mod.

    Maybe that does exist here because I've seen tanks get dropped by a single hit while blocking quite a bit. It's forced most to play. Ore as sources of valor and into the Frey than as tanks that draw Agro. In fact all the tanks I know have removed enforced threat. Drawing that kinda Agro even with shield up gets you killed in about 1-2 seconds.

    Maybe it did head over to you... or... they left the damage and HP buff in play. Hard to know without being in the fight.​​
