why xbox has a healthy economy?

lemonchilllemonchill Member Posts: 523 Arc User
i saw some xbox streams and i seems like xbox economy is right where pc version was a year ago.
players are actually able to make a decent amount of AD from the loot they get

for example:

shards sold for 19k-50k
artifacts sold up to 800k
etc

the zax exchange is half lower then pc version and im talking about a Significant bigger player base. way bigger then pc version. while some ppl may argue it is because of the new module i also saw pre-new module streams. others may claim it is because xbox has no bots that's is true. as part of cryptic fight against bots and efforts to try to brings back a healthy economy back where player will be able to make AD from the loot. may i suggest:

A limit the amount of drops a toon can have.for example; the moment you get 10 r5 drops you automatically get a 24 hours cool down. same goes for resonance stones and any other rp element. while this move might cause a rage among players i feel it might hurt bots even more and in the long run maybe even brings back the pc economy back to where it should be

B no more bop loot, please let us sell the gear we get from skirmishs & dungeons .

c wondrous bazaar: cryptic needs to make some major price adjustments to the prices there. for example sapphire is sold for 10k while on AH it is sold by half of this amount. greater marks of potency 100k AH they are sold for 78-85k. the irrelevant lvl 60 gear you sell for ridiculous amount of more then 100k who will buy it? lower the prices at least by half. update the bazaar!

D zen prices. we all can agree zen store prices are ludicrous , for example almost all of the epic mounts there are now obsolete after the introduction of 140% speed with new abilities mounts. yet they are still sold for same price? why? lower the price by at least half. same goes for almost any other item currently sold on zen store. this action will bring back faith in players that things are working forward them not againts them

thank you.

They didn't have any major AD exploits that generated a bajillion AD out of nowhere so no one has billions of AD to manipulate the zax with.

you are correct but cryptic can only blame their self s on that. they only made "major emergency updates" to reset the economy after those exploits went viral. not all accounts were prema banned some got banned for 3 days to one week only. cryptic were well aware and i believe still is aware of some AD and economy manipulation yet i dont really believe they are doing everything in their power to stop it.

    What urba says.

I also think, the xbox players are not as market savvy as the PC playerbase was. LOTS of people just played the markethosue/AH and zax earlier in this games life cycle.

I dont post in those forums, but's its interesting to read. I see some players here on the PC made alt forum accounts for the xbox though.

Just curious if there any AD sellers in xbox ... in PC version they are "approved" part of game. Main AD source for them is RP sells which they bot without any issues and then you see effect of their work on AH where they are selling stacks of RP stones/enhancements.

There is old-timers exploit issue which NW never dealt with. And NW never asks questions why some account with low level without any ZEN injection gets into possession of max cap of AD.

They could clean out the bugs and exploit user with GMs, but that would cost them some money.
Thereofore not going to happen, just some talk combined with ridiculous actions, that will only hurt the regular players.

Botters will have the days of their life after the change next week, since they will run 24/7 dungeons, skirmishes and PvP to farm AD.
And since normal players won't have the chance to make enough AD with just playing the game, they will probably turn to those botters and start buying AD.

Bug users and exploiters will still sit on their wealth, and probably continue to use any bug and exploit they can find to get even more AD.

I'll be really surprised, if by the end of next week, we're going to see player numbers above 2k.

And of course, Leadership still generates a lot of unbound RP.... So while it's not 12k a day, it's still not 0 income for them along with the normal income they get.

no way they got bigger player base than the pc version...where did you even get this idea?

i do agree with this though..

    I would be completely unsurprised.

its simply because they don't have lots of players with armies of leadership toons, PC has had 2 years to accumalate alot of them, thats thousands more AD generated every day.

Because they don't have the Gateway, which was very easily exploited.

As allready explained, AD from Leadership is not the problem.
Botters don't invest months of time or money into an account to gather AD from Leadership.
    Normal players do...

Who do you think botters are?Martians? There is a site which published scrpits for Gateway and those 49 character owned players were using that.I dont know if they still deal with that subject

From some experience in the game, I am sorry to say this is as far as the handlers (Cryptic employees) will read. All of the suggestions have merit. And I think 10 is NOT the magic number because it will infringe on legit players. Maybe 30 or even 40 per type. The enchant stacks in the AH are 99, fer gosh sakes.

The rest of your list all have real merit, but it is not Cryptics style to lower prices, etc. They just won't do it even if it spurs sales.

I hadn't noticed until this 2xRP weekend, but all my Leadership RP *IS* BtC. I wanted to use if for my alt, who is still getting his gear together after levelling up.

The bags are but what comes in them isn't. Expect this to be "fixed" shortly. And yea the exploiters that were allowed to remain in the game (mostly from resonater exploit but there have been many others) are what has ruined the economy as they were then able to manipulate AH and Zax with their ill gotten gains. Most got 3-7 day bans but kept everything they made on return.

And many of those people were smart enough to generate the AD on one account and move the AD to a separate account. That way their main doesn't get banned and their AD wasn't lost.

On top of what was said, xbox is still in its infancy. PC has had to years of exploits, market manipulation, and a declining player base. It's apples and oranges really.
