Whats the best way to grind influence? The other ones all seem to cap out pretty quick.

The Steward has an explanation of what you can get from Stronghold map and HE drops if you ask him about rewards.

Influence comes from HEs and has diminishing returns for each one completed, until it stops dropping. My preview experience was that it was a personal cooldown, not on a fixed daily reset time.

I haven't noticed a diminishing return, but honestly I haven't paid attention... I was doing various qualities of HE so the different value of influence didn't register with me. But, diminishing returns aside, the way to grind it is to run around your Stronghold instance and complete HEs. If you're well geared (3K+) you should be able to solo the blue HEs, though sometimes I run out of time on the Blue ones if there's only 4 or 5 minutes left when I get there (depends on the HE) - mostly because it takes time, as long as 10s sometimes, for the reinforcements to spawn.

Anyway, HEs in your Stronghold area is the answer.

Any HE on the Stronghold map will give ya Influence at first. The Dimishing Return is (60, 30, 15, 10, 5). After this you have to wait like 20-24 hours before you will get Influence from an HE again. Eventually, Boon Structures will have a daily quest that could net you between 90-200 influnce a day. :)

Very interesting. Actually, I think that's probably a good thing. I'd rather they timegated like that more rather than by making the contribution requirements so astronomical.

They just do both and call it done.

1 char can get about 100 influences every 24h and you need 32k for guild hall lvl 2 and 63k for lvl 3. We have already 4 other buildings lvl 1 so next step is guild hall lvl 3. Even if 50 ppl will get 5k influence/day, it's still 3 weeks to build guild hall lvl 3. And we have maximum of all other things...
I think 100/day is too low drop. I think that you should get 5/10/20 influence for every little/medium/bigger HE.

Alt chars in the same guild can speed up a little bit.
