Well in terms of usability, it is advised to go archer because trapper does not do enough damage to keep up in mod 6, the archery tree, in mod 6, despite all the crit chance and massive damage bonuses and high recovery, archery gets a feat called longshot (dealing a critical strike grants you 50% critical severity, 150% if tis crit was from an encounter). personally, im prepared for it, I run constricting arrow, rain of arrows and hindering shot. people seem to be dead set on trappers yet outside of pvp they are not needed and do not do enough damage to be called a dps
Trappers are pretty good I rarely get beaten or ever have been. Not to say Archer build with that feat would be better its possible...keep in mind though they are nerfing how hard mod 6 was.
