How do you refine an Artifact of Union with another Artifact of Union ????

I got 2 Tiamat Orbs so I thought I would refine one to put into my Belial Portal Stone as they are both Artifacts of Union.

Anyone know the mechanics as the Orb does not show up as a refinement option ?

    The orb is not usable as a refinement agent, just like the Heart of the Red Dragon.
    GWF 3.5k i.Lvl 18.3k power, 15.8k Crit strike, 6.1k ArPen, 2.1k Rec, 66.5% Crit chance, 117.1% Crit Severity, Unbuffed

    Don't the Orbs come as legendary? Is perhaps not able to be done after an artifact has reached a certain progression point? I can definitely confirm you can use equipment artifacts to level other equipment artifacts, but maybe the normal artifacts can't even be used like that.

    2 Orbs I got where green so that is not the problem Wiki says it can be done at 5X refinement value at level 59 I believe it is approx 125K x5 for 625K but How ???

    You refine the orb up to almost purple and then use it to refine. Because they are the same type you get a bonus like when you put a belt into your belt. The cost to refine up to purple is a little over 300k refine points, to go to legendary is almost another 3 million.

    I know but how ?

    When I go to the refine Artifact option the Orb does not appear in the the refinement options just runestones and gems

    Maybe I am missing something ....

    If you haven't yet bound the orb perhaps that is preventing you from selecting it as a source for refinement?

    Nope bound and refined even tried to see if my Waters Artifact would show up if I unequipped it nope seems like it maybe bugged

    No level 30 and level 1 as I have 2. I even unequipped my Waters( epic ) to see if it would show up and it did not.

    Anyone ever do this on Xbox???

    I am sure it is something simple but I do not see it

    When I get home I will unequip my orb and see if it allows me to refine it into my portal stone. Will get back to you in a few hours.

    I had the same issue last night. It seems as though the Tiamat Orb can't be used to refine. That would help explain its low cost on the AH.

    The orb is the only artifact not populating, so will say it is bugged. Is repeatable, belias or lantern can be used as refining the orb does not come up. Mine is at 51, so will test again tomorrow when it is purple.

    I was lucky enough to get 2. The second one I lvl up to blue (more refinement points) and fed it to my first one with no problem. Maybe try to lvl it up even just to lvl 2.

    Sometime Sunday I was able to feed an artifact to another so thanks to PW for this quick fix but they had to be the same level ie epic to epic. The Orb it seems cannot be used for refining anything but another Orb.

    Maybe certain artifacts won't work, but some will? I know I used my orange rod in my orb and it gave me ~2.9 million refinement.
