Hi guys,

I'm a lvl 70 MOF CW. I've finally managed to get my item level to above 1600 so I can start participating in the epic dungeons. However, i am just not sure which stats I should focus more with my gears. So I've listed my current stats below, hopefully you guys can give me some advice as to whether i'm on the right track? And if not, what should I add more or reduce? I only PVE.

PVE
Power 4372 + 800 = 5172
Critical strike = 1719 + 400 = 2119 (25.3%)
Armor penetration = 2815+425 = 3240 (-31.8%)
recovery = 1392
defense = 1809 (dmg resistance 8%)
deflect = 836
regeneration = 304 + 25 = 329
life steal= 2121 (5.3%)
Movement = 198+ 80 = 278

Any ideas/advice would be appreciated!!

Thanks,

    You need substantially more Armor Penetration. Try to get your resistances ignored to 60% (Usually 57% Armor Pen + 3% from the boon)

    General consensus is that max resistance on PvE mobs is 60%. If you want to maximize your damage in PvE, then you'll need to be at or close to that cap.

    umm........i see.

    I'll aim to increase my armor penetration then.

    I've really only just started looking at upgrading my gears. Currently all my gears are from loots and non epic dungeon chests. They are currently pretty low level as I don't have that much AD. Even if I did, i am lost as to what's a good option. What would be a decent starting gears to start off? I honestly feel i'm too weak to go into epic T1/T2 dungeons to get my gears that way, so i'll have to buy with AD, but there aren't too many Mod 6 gear guides I can find.

    Also, I find that i'm getting 1 shot with a few monsters, so i've also opted for defense and life steal to buff up a bit of my survivability. I got life steal cause I read that's probably the best defense?? no?

    All your stats are pretty low. ArP>crit>power>recovery. Some people will disagree with me on defense, but HP>lifesteal>defense>regen and deflect.

    The best (maybe only) is dodging. I have twice as much lifesteal as you, and it's still way too low. with 76K HP and 10% DR, I get one shot all the time.

    For gear, get whatever has the most HP. When you have the choice between 2 pieces with the same HP, go for whatever has the most ArP or Crit, whichever you need more. You can get gear from leveling in the new zones, Sharandar, Dread RIng and Tyranny of Dragons vendors. You can get better gear with seals from skirmishes and dungeons. Try doing Kessels Retreat.

    There is very little gear you can buy with AD.

    Do you have any boons yet? That is a good source of stats and certain companions active bonuses can also help you a lot. Do you have an Ioun Stone of any kind? They give you all their stats.

    I agree with you on the HP. It's pretty much the ONLY thing you should be rocking in Defensive stats until you end up (with group buffs) at or over 90k HP in dungeons. The "sweet spot" for enemy damage (if I can use that phrase) is in the 60-80k range. If you can survive that first hit, healing comes big and fast in groups, so you're almost always back at full health. Once you can get past the enemy sweet spot, you'll find staying on your feet is much, much easier.

    1. Reach 60% ArmorPen. This is most important. Then, any additional ArmorPen is a waste.
    2. Then, max Power and Crit (there is no superior rating or the superiority is very dependent and insignificant).
    3. Third wanted rating is Recovery, however usually inferior to Power and Crit.
    4. Futher, you`ll consider "new" ratings, like Action Point Gain, Combat Advantage Damage or Control Bonus. I advice you to cap single rating at 1000, but it`s debatable.
    5. Finally, you`ll consider defense ratings. I suggest MaxHitPoints or LifeSteal (this is, again, debatable) over Defense or Deflection. Regeneration is useless imho, but it`s again, debatable.

    TL;DR:
    1. 60% ArP
    2. maxed Power & Crit
    3. supplemented Recovery
    4. 1000 of "new" ratings
    5. MaxHP & LifeSteal

    Thanks for all the advise guys.

    Yes, my stats are pretty low I know. As I said, I hvaen't really spend time farming yet. I just reached level 70 doing quests and some skirmish and dungeons. But none of them gave me decent equips.

    Guess i'll do more skirmish and dungeons then, get some more seals and buy some equipment from the new places.

    A new question:

    All this talk about getting AP as a priority. At what expense tho? e.g., Should i be getting +AP 160 at the expense of 300Crit?
