Making Personalised jewellery

Getting my Jewelcrafting close to rank 20 now, and I know what jewellery I want to make.
But, how do I craft the Gemmed gear I need for make the Personalised Archmage gear?

I haven't crafted anything as of yet as I don't want to make gear I don't need (and doesn't sell); and save time to craft.
Erdan Darksbane - Lvl 60 Soulbinder Fury SW
BamBam - Lvl 30 GWF
Trevok - Lvl 30 GF
Wil - Lvl 25 TR (PvP)

    I have had mine to 20 for a while now and I have made the gemmed rings and necklaces to sell and for myself.

    Now I don't know if you have made any of the pre-requisites to make the gemmed versions but this is what you need to make and in this order

    Witch's Ring ->Ring of reformation -> Mage's Ring -> Ring of Replenishment -> Wizard's Ring

    And it will be the same for the necklaces, don't waste resources making the +3's and all that rubbish

    Now the tasks which you need to make the gemmed versions will be at the very top and you just need to keep checking as they will change

    Have a look at the wiki page on Jewelcrafting HERE

    Scroll down to the rare jobs, pick the ring/rings that give the stats you are looking for. Then wait for that/those jobs to come up in the rare job section...

    Assuming you have 3 mithral crucibles (the only purple jewelcrafting assets currently available in game) you're looking at IIRC a 28% chance of getting a 'great success' and making the required gemmed ring from that job.

    Then just do the appropriate lvl 20 common job to make the ring personalised.

    I have looked there, but there is no Tier 3 with reference to "Gemmed Archmage HAMSTER"; closest I've seen is the level 9 rare "Gemmed Mage HAMSTER". So, is this the one to roll them?

    Further down on the wiki page are the lvl 20 rare jobs, they're what you're looking for.

    So, if you want to make a personalised archmage ring you would wait for the 'Archmage's ring +6' job to come up. When you do that job there is a chance that on completion you'll make a 'Gemmed Archmage's Ring +6', which is what you need to make the personalised.

    If you're not seeing the job, check the view settings at the top of professions window and make sure you don't have 'hide higher level tasks' or 'hide tasks with unmet requirements' ticked.
