Anyone have tips to surviving the bigger packs? As a 2.2 IS Level 70 CW, I just don't survive long enough to take them down. I *used* to be able to jump in icy, steal, then probably pew pew.
I can range and kite around the 3 packs. Ranging the larger packs might work and just kite them around to the archer and use icy and then steal, then kite some more. Seems like a lot of fooling around for a regular pack.
Or is the IS supposed to be more like 3K for those kinds of shennanigans?
I'm happy to hear about other playstyles, I'm not above thinking I have to do things differently now, just bummed. I already own a helmet.

Only pull 1 group at a time, and kite them back and forth over your Icy Terrain. The mobs that go immune and put out the freeze balls, just try to avoid them while they are enraged.
Ranged damage can take you out pretty quick, so if you are fighting the archers or spitting dragons, then try to focus on them. Make sure IT lands where they are.
Also, you may want to use Ray of Frost as one of your at-wills to help freeze targets.
I have noticed that control is key, then damage, unless you can outright tank the incoming damage. Either way, even on my OP, I use templar's wrath which has a stun and while not ideal, relentless avenger since it has good dps (for an OP) and it knocks back all other targets besides the primary. It is pretty critical because if I have everything pounding on me at once, staying alive becomes much more difficult and death can be on the horizon.
My trapper has no problem with control.. roots, daze and ample dps.
Control first, dps second. Shard is nerfed for damage, but is nice to knock mobs down and let you do your damaging encounters.
Note that this is theoretical: the CW I'm working on right now is a themed arcane/lightning build, so I don't use chill powers.
