How to use mail system

Ok ya I'm a neverwinter xbox newb

I can't seem to get the mail system to work
would like to send an item to a friend, or my Alt but I can't seem to get the Y send button to work

tried a number of different address combinations, but doesn't matter what i do can't get send to light up to use

I thank you for any advice I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing or <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> up

Use the mail box not the mail section of the pause menu.

To send or recieve mail. you need to go to a post box. there is also a postal officer near to the auction house.

I get that I can receive mail just fine
It's sending mail
think I'm screwed up with the....character@handle part
I fill it out like I see in my friends list .................is that correct?

I am unable to answer the question about sending mail - however you mentioned you'd like to send something to your alt. You don't have to mail it if the alt is on the same gamer account as your main character. At the bank there is a tab for a 'shared vault'. This is shared to all characters on the same account - just put what you want in there and then grab it with the other character (I've not tested this but noticed it yesterday when playing!).
