I feel like this is one of those situations where they should avoid the ill-will and give everyone a complete forced respec on their toons.
Let's kick off Module 6 with some happy customers.
I completely agree. Initially it was said that all characters were going to get a respec, they backed off of that right away on one of the twitch streams. What little I know about the huge changes coming, for all classes, It would seem that a full respec would not only be desired, but necessary.
Not providing characters a full respec, just seems like a cheesey money grab to me.
It will be a power/feats respec because there are new encounters and new feats, but not a "full" resepc - you will not be able to remanage ability scores for example. You also will not be able to choose a different Paragon path - you are stuck with what you have; you should be able to choose a different tree of that path if you decide to.
HUmm i just noticed the cost of a respec feats and boons has gone up in price.
116.438 ADs now. I cant tell if that just because im level 70 making it higher or thats the new cost.
Ouch!

I think the cost has always been related to your level. So above level 60 is just continuing that.

Just wow. Not all that much difference between a feat/boon respec and buying a retraining token on the zen market at lvl 70. I'd be leaning towards the latter if I was desperate for a respec. It seems more and more like Scrooge McDuck is running things at Cryptic...

Well, the big difference is you don't have to pay that little extra...30k AD is still 30k AD. And it's a pain in the behind to reallocate power points and stat points, so if you don't need to, why bother?
Of course, this assumes a consistent 500:1. Back in the day when the Zen exchange was under 300, it was far cheaper to just convert AD to Zen and buy a full respec token.
So you make mandatory and full respecs for relatively minor class changes in the past (CW, GWF, HR) where stuff is changed but not enough to neuter a class but you do not do the same for changes where the level cap is increased, new feats AND powers are added? This makes sense? Somehow? Can someone explain this to me? Change classes a bit and we get a full respec but completely change how most, if not all, classes work and we get a minor respec. This is brilliant, it forces everyone to spend money on respec tokens instead of throwing players a **** bone.

+1 to full respec.
They can FORCE FULL respec us if they want without giving tokens.. But looking back at NW's AD/Zen sink.. the future doesn't look promising.
A full respec is really the right thing to do with how much the changes affect players' previous decisions to build their characters. I hope they'll do the right thing here instead of being stingy, but... Well let's just say my faith reserves ran dry a while ago. If I cared about making money as much as I know Cryptic does, I sure wouldn't be giving away a free 5 dollars to all the players (times all their characters).
Since there's a new class incoming (Oathbound Paladin), and level cap increase to 70, will players get a free respec (have all their Power Points and Feats reset)?
...better take a screenshot or jot down some notes of your current build :^)...
Feats: I'd think yes, definitely. And the probability for this being a full feat respec, and not the mini-version (only feats upstream of the new ones between old tiers 2 & 3 in paragon) you currently get upon entering preview, is also high - if you have spent any feats in another paragon path those would be bound => complaints, complaints, complaints...
Regarding powers I also think this is quite probable, as you will get new powers up there, and the non-essential stuff you picked up to now, below level 60, would be bound if not respecced. But some people might rather not buy e.g. the Lvl 20 meh aura power with those excess PP, but would prefer saving those up to have the points for all the Level 61-70 powers. So, again, to avoid complaints I guesstimate they'll give us a full respec.
What i do not expect, nice and desireable as it might be, is a stat reroll...

The patch notes on preview indicate there will be a forced respec.

all we can tell you is what they said on the live stream, a full foreced respec, but I wouldnt hold my breath about it.
Sadly, for all of us who took original regen boons , its pretty mandatory to dump then now, as they are worthless.
Regeneration and Life Steal will both have significant changes to make them fit more harmoniously into Neverwinter’s class balancing scheme. These changes are something that we have been working towards for a while and are ultimately geared toward giving tanks and healers a more solidly defined place in the game. We're also giving players a free full character respec with the release of Elemental Evil, so they will be able to reallocate their stats as they see fit when the module comes out.

This is how forced-respecs work.
The cost to respec increases each level.

Why are they worthless? Sorry I'm not up on that
