Trying to get black ice gloves

Its about my 10th day since I hit icewind dale and I've been trying to get my hand on some black ice gloves... no luck so far. I know i've done about 50 or more (didnt keep track) minor ones, probally 20 medium ones and about 10 or more of the really hard ones. Overall atleast over a 100 encounters combined. I'm still new to this heroic encounter thing and i don't know what the factors for increasing my chance. Someone said its basically random and someone said I needed to do top dmg on an encounter which I do a bunch for sure since the minor ones I can solo. As for the other ones...

So just asking every TR here who has those gloves... How many encounters did you do estimated and which one if you remember? Trying to get a general census on how to get these dang gloves lol

It has been long enough for me that I don't recall the specifics and it was under the initial version of the drops and not the later changed ones. I actually got 4 of them (well more in total) but I had two rogues and made a set of each for each. I think most I got off of Remo and nothing from the lesser but I believe one I got from a medium.

I know that for my mainhand I made one single attack with lashing blade, I hit stealth and saw the red and hit ITC and died since it doesn't seem to work against black ice. I got the mainhand and so I started to think the odds were more random than they were suggested to be. I would assume this the same for the gloves but I would never try to speculate too much with the type of code that they throw around.

You won't get the gloves from minor encounters.

Don't waste your time with anything other than the epic (10-12 point symbol on the map) remo, raiders, or prospector.

Someone made a custom IWD channel, I would join that (I forget the exact name). It helps.

Basically, the gloves suck... No other way to it... I farmed IWD for 2 weeks to complete the BI set & ran ~ 75-100 of the epic three I mentioned before I got my gloves.

What is the custom IWD channel. I think its better to be in groups. I have had <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> luck in trying to get them on my GWF.
