I would if the keys were for free but I am not going to pay 10000 AD, 4 Dragon Sigils, 4 Cult Secrets and 3 gold just for ONE key and for what? just to get 2 enchantments lvl 4? No way. That's for those players with millions and millions of AD.

Apparently it takes 2(?) months to get the two last boons if you're a casual player as well.

Think I'm just gonna skip this fail of a module.

I thought Icewind dale and Sharandar were bad.. oh boy. Dread Ring was the only good&smooth module.

I can't even find the strength to gather resources needed to open the dungeon, I opened the skirmish, crafted artifact weapon and a couple of skirmish keys, and the dungeon is locked for me because I can no longer waste so much time of my life for standing AFK for 5+ minutes (if I'm lucky) in 5 locations every day.

I'm likely to skip the latter stages of this campaign as well. It's just too grindy - as bad as Sharandar and I absolutely LOATHE that place. And with 7 toons I just can't justify wasting so much of my life on mindless grinding and standing around AFK waiting for Dragons to turn up.

What a disappointment.

Same here. I'll skip the rest of this campaign. After spending thousands of AD I just feel cheated. I havent got anything worth, just a couple of Draconic enchants each time so no. The dragon keys should be given like in Sharandar or Dread Ring, after completing some quests. Paying for it each time is absurd.

• There is a free chest in the skirmish.
• It's loot is from the exact same drop table as the second chest.
• If you have a key for the second chest you can open it and see what's inside, if you don't think it's of value 'decline' the chest.
• You don't even need to concern yourself with the second chest at all, don't get a key and just ignore it completely.
• Look outside, the sun could be shining.

Yes the loot can be bad, yes the RNG sucks, yes the campaign is a grind.

Happy hunting.

So how often did you run shores actually?
You know you can decline the second chest which needs the extra key?
You are able to choose AFTER YOU SAW WHATS IN THAT CHEST if you want to spend a key for whats in the chest.

Yeah its that awsome - stop crying about shores and exchange your AD for some Zen get a 5 pack keys (150k) - if you make profit with those keys is totally up to your judgement if the item in the second chest is worth a key.

So much for millions of AD >_<

Yeah and when you find strength and some vague motivation to open those, bugs say NOPE. Like in my case, opened it on my SW and ecided I'd better open it on my guardian fighter in case somebody from my friends list needs help in there but then campaign progress gone broke because of some recent patch which equals more time, more frustration about dailies and the fact that I still need to log on my GF and watch that campaign progress so I can start it all over again in time - . -

UPD oh and yes once I reached Zhentarim the campaign got broken again. Luckily enough fixed itself within one day though

Speaking about the second chest, I spend only 2 keys (got dragon gems) and haven't seen anything but enchantments. My brother still hasn't spent his first key lol. We made more then 100 runs both epic and normal.

Sometimes what you get from the chest is even what is displayed, too!

TC didn't realize that he/she can just ignore the 2nd chest in case the loot is unsatisfactory.
The other point though is that the loot is unsatisfactory in 99% cases (or even more, cause epic equipment from it is junk reimbursing 2ce less than the key cost in the 1st place).
What is really depressing is that it's either 2 months to unlock the final boons or, probably, the same amount of time grinding these skirmish and dungeon for the boon unlockers.

I mean, c'mon it's a way to long and boring :(

So far the chest bug hasn't surfaced for me in Shores of Tuern, only in Lair of Lostmauth. I would rather run the skirmish than the dungeon because it goes faster, despite the lack of anything good in the chest the majority of the time. Also I don't need a key to open the normal chest in the skirmish, and I ain't paying 5k AD every time to open the dungeon chest outside of DD. I've made peace with the depressingly low drop rate in chests overall. I just queue for the next skirmish...

The main thing that's bothering me is the rng, bad drop rates. I am grinding all day and it's annoying that even the artifact weapons aren't a choice. I have gotten the same one twice and it's no good for me at all.

The boon drop is too rare to even make it matter honestly and secondly buying a key every day is too much of a time waster, frankly I couldve opened up the DD for several toons, but find it hard to even finish it for one, but almost there, so will plug away for a few more days.

Overall the artifact gem I dont mind the low drop rate.. the boon I do. The fact that this module was squarly designed against players who have alts, is very bad as well.

To me this is by far the worst of any of the modules, you could at least with time finish the rest of them, this one is gated behind RNG.. never good.

As someone already said at least the keys should be free after unlocking the 1st one as in other campaigns. I know many players who wasted the keys because they thought that unlocking the skirmish quest they would be able to get the keys after that. So they were mad and ungry after getting a few enchants after having spent 10k AD. Indeed the RNG is a disaster.
I hope this system is radically changed because as I see ppl is getting rather dissapointed.

The fact that you can't choose your artifact weapon first up makes the grind even more hellish. I was perhaps lucky to get the weapon I wanted on my one HR on the second go. I'm not sure I want to give it a go on my other HR who didn't get the desired bow first time either.

And to add to my woes, I got my first bow up to lvl 19 before I refined it into my new bow - where did I end up? lvl 13...wonderful game mechanics there :P

That's why I'm stopping before the last two boons.

In a couple of hours I'll receive my artifact weapon crate, been running SoT since I unlocked it two days ago and it's already became a joke of an instance in terms of difficulty once you know the patterns, still fun but no way I'm going to waste AD on that chest, not a single time.

Just gotta unlock LoL now and I'm out of ToD progress related stuff, of course that is if I don't get the HAMSTER Wrath weapon since both rage and ferocity are fine to me. SoT is just another AD income, for example on two normal runs in a row I got a 40k AD worth ring and just earlier I dropped a 346k-450k draconic cowl on epic.
