Cleansed Bug Reports (Uncommitted Changes)

This is now the second day in a row where I've had to END TASK on the game in the Windows Task Manager because no amount of clicking either Cancel or OK will cause the dialog box to go away long enough to do anything else. I can't do any of the workarounds because the game is stuck in this stupid dialog box and it simply returns as fast as you try to bypass it.

It is worse now. Locked up my screen, alt-ctrl-del would not work. Hit ESC over and over until it let me exit the game. Please get rid of the dam box!!

I too was locked out today cuz of this Uncommitted screen. Sadly I was waiting in Q for a dungeon when I couldn't do anything but to hit Alt+F4 to get out of the game. :mad:

I've had to force stop my game 3 times now to get past this bug. Please fix this or at least give us an indication you are working on a fix!!!!

I've had the same problem recurring for a while. If it helps track down the bug...

This morning I already had the popup error showing any time I went to a character (or other tabs) window. Then I also tried to bind a new companion. That's when the perpetual error appeared, and I had to kill the program process and restart the game client.

Same problem a few times, although today it forced me to alt+F4 and restart client. Though now my Launcher cant connect to patch server, gameclient.exe hangs when i try to run the game that way, so cant get into game at all atm

Had a new twist to this, this morning.
A level 44 SW. 4 active pets, being 3 green transfer award pets and a purchased Ioun Stone. Took the freebie pet that I had stored in the bank, as I needed the bank slot.

Bound it to me, named it. It went to idle, ok. Now Char sheet pops up, to pet tab. Tells me uncommitted changes. Cancel or Ok.. no difference. It comes right back. Could not clear it, could not type commands, no hot keys. All I could do is click ok or cancel and watch it reappear.

Ended up killing task on the game, and it was ok when I logged back in. And I had no unspent points anywhere, however- my Stone is at rank 21 and is ready to rank to 25. Which I will do when I log off for the day. I suspect that is what it was reading as unspent points, since that is the tab that opened...

Just reporting, error is cleared. It may be a different issue, but close enough that I didn't want to start another thread.

Edit- Ooops. Just noticed some of the later posts also report having to restart client.

Pls fix this asap since this is forcing me to terminate the game since the message box never goes away!
I tried hitting esc for like 1 min and still keeps poping up.
So annoying!!!

None of Zeb's post applies to what I posted.
It was first login of the day, and had been logged in for a couple of hours.
It occurred in direct response to binding a new companion, and has happened at no other time on that character.
K is the default for Team Queue on my installation, I never changed it. C brings character, P brings power. I have no other shortcuts to feats, history, boons, or companions.

Pressing P for powers did nothing whatsoever. Same for pressing C. Game responded only to Enter, and Alt Tab. No choice but to end process.

I have had problems with the first bug reported in this thread for a long time, on two specific characters that were created after mod 3 was released, and nowhere else. It took me about 4 seconds to figure out a work around. This is something different.

It will probably be fixed in the same fix as the main issue, but I don't plan to bind anymore pets so I'm not concerned about it, except I thought it might be good to share the info.

Hmm, can I get you to post a separate detailed bug report thread and note that this issue stemmed from Binding a Pet instead of just the regular bug we've been dealing with for a while now? I'll review it afterwards and make any needed highlights to keep it from getting merged into this one. Then I'll make sure its added to this week's community report. Thanks!

(As for the "K" typo in my above post, sorry about that. I forget that I rebind any MMO's skill page to K. Default is indeed, "P.")
