Hey everybody.
Some of you might be as confused as I am. Where did the cool shadow slip animation go? This is what it looked like on the test server before the patch:
But instead once SW was released, it looked like this: Is this a bug or did they remove it or something? God dang it why would they remove something SOOO COOOL!! ... Its gotta be a bug.. it just has to be

yeah I liked that effect too.
Its just like when they removed the effect from Lurker's Assault daily on rogues. (which is actually the very same effect here )
I agree that the 'shadow realm' look of the original Slip was cool, but it could also be a little problematic - even though they fixed that strobe-flickering when going into and out of it, it was also a huge demand on the system when double-tapping to "dodge" - it would go into and out of that screen change so fast it caused a frame rate stutter on lower-end computers (I had a lower-end until a week ago).
One thing we need to remember is that the debs are trying hard to make this game available to as many people as possible, and that means performance is a key factor; they always have to work to the lowest common denominator: the inexpensive laptop with low-grade Interl Graphic Chip sets.
Lots of technical considerations we players don;t always think of.

Why do they keep removing these cool effects?
