Kicked from pvp ??

I was playing on my new char, its a hr and i have 12k gs i was grouping with my friend also on a new char with 10k gs and we want into a game and of course the enemy had maxed out chars so we was already at a disadvantage but we didn't give up and kept trying to cap mid but the guy who was given leader on out team was a hot headed idiot and kept telling us to cap or get kicked not understanding that a 12k hr cant beat a 18k gwf on a node and in the end after failing to cap it i was kicked lol. I was even doing better than the guy who kicked me too....

This has annoyed me much with this game that idiot players are given lead in pvp to kick who they want, why is there even a leader in pvp ???

I hope this is changed in mod 4....

I thought you couldn't be kicked from PvP matches at all.

Just because you have more points does not mean you are better in pvp. If you don't fight on a node you are useless and nothing change that.

The OP never claimed that he didn't fight on a node. He just couldn't flip it.
And.. there are many strategies that involve baiting the enemy off a node.
What's useless are posts that fail to grasp the ideas and purposes of the original post.

Last time I PvPed it was just like skirmishes. Leader can kick anyone he pleases. It's still like that in GG I believe. Not sure about Domination as I stay far away from that these days.

GG is different from Domination then.

I also was not aware you could kick PvP domination players. Never checked. The more you know.

You must have really made him mad, kicking active players from PvP? Even if they're annoying, that's still something.

Whaaaa? Do you get a deserter penalty for getting kicked if the leader decides they don't like you?

PvP was already miserable the last couple of times I queued for a match. I keep getting placed with people way over my level, which means not only do I get stomped, but I'm liable to be subjected to verbal abuse from less-than-gracious teammates as well. So now I'd probably just get kicked instead.

I might as well never PvP again.

Yes I agree but I was fighting on node through the whole game but this char is 12k the guy i was fighting was 18k and his friend lol I couldn't win and the guy kicked me and maybe some others, he basically said all cap or get kicked and funny thing was he was fighting off node a lot....I know how to play pvp since that's all i do but i have never heard of a player being kicked before and no way someone should be able to do that during a game...

It was just annoying since that was my last game before I got my last piece of pvp armor too :P

The whole team made him mad, we all had low gs vs a full premade group it was just unfair to start with but we still did good and he threatened to kick everyone unless we someone killed a team 10x stronger and help 2 caps...he wasn't even good himself...

    Judging from your account...

I am going to guess the person dictating things...was a GWF....

Lmao good guess xD He was just hot-headed and not that good at tactics, yelling cap cap cap the whole game isn't gonna do anything since most people know that's how to win anyway but if the enemy team is full premade and very strong then you just cant win, that's no reason to kick people.

I was kicked from a match as well, after fighting 3 HR's with my CW several times with little or no support at mid/home. Not just any HR's either, decked out pvp'ers. After standing on three thorn wards and desperately trying to cast in between 3 constricting arrows, I was getting frustrated. We were triple capped and losing 400ish to 7. A hopeless situation entirely.

Before I know it I am kicked, with penalty.

wow man that sucks :/ no player should have the choice to do this it should at least be a vote....

I didn't get a leaver penalty but it did count as a loss and i got no glory for it.

Seen someone moving around the other day jumping and attacking while scoreboard was up at the end...

( yes, turning, jumping, attacking, moving.... )

I saw this in gg today as well, people attacking/moving around after the match.

@crixus Sorry, not meaning to derail things. Getting kicked from PvP should never happen and having people like that in your team sucks. I've been there. I just get a little tired of people explaining their inability to defeat someone or some class in PvP as a problem with gear score differential. That certainly helps, but it's not the end-all, be-all. A 12K GS HR can beat an 18K GS GWF.

As a matter of fact, they can if they have the time. In Domination, it would be pretty rare for that to happen, though.

The fact that he could kick you must have been some sort of mistake. I was recently in pvp in which player never entered arena he was all time in enclave and couldn't do anything, so it was 4v5 from start. He asked me to kick him since i was leader, i tried but there was info that kicking is not possible in this mode. It was like 4 days ago.

TBH I have beaten a 17k gwf with my hr so yes I can see how its possible but not if they play right man, the guy was using roar+takedown and IBS..I had no chance, him spamming roar every few seconds then landing IBS on me as a 12k hr i couldn't do anything and he had help a few times too. But anyway yes no one should be kicked unless they are purposely ruining the game but the guy threatened to kick us all because we couldn't flip a node and he couldn't either so that was annoying lol.

You used to only be able to kick disconnected people. Which I usually did if I had leader if they disconnected for too long or at the beginning of the match.

Wait so now you can kick people in PvP?

I almost stopped pugging quite a while ago, now I won't pug ever again probably lol.

Actually, what I'm interested on is:

    Does it need a vote?

Nope, the leader whoever is chosen can kick who they want, when they want....

It seems pvp is just created to be stressful :)

The only people I have kicked EVER from PvP are the ones that start insulting the whole group, scream abuse at the team, and then start yelling insults in zone chat since it's "everyone else's fault" that the team loses the match.

After one kick the crown for leader gets passed to somebody else. I'd rather lose with a team of four decent people trying than "win" with... a complete jerkface. (I'd type other words, but I think it constitutes swearing for what I'd like to call them.)

The other side should be some sort of ignore feature that prevents a ignored person ever being queued with you. Eventually the obnoxious ones can queue with themselves.

Also when one encounters twinks, putt them on the ignore pvp que thing would keep a player who did not twink from being queued against those who do more than once.

If you queue gets to long or not at all , you may have to review and adjust whom you placed on ignore.

Be interesting, but I bet 1,000 people can tell me why it is a bad idea / won't work which I agree, probably wouldn't.

But kicking should be a vote, and only for people who DC or spend a certain amount of time in the spawn zone, / not dealing or taking damage or healing.
