A Tribute to Wicked Reminder (TR skill that about to be nerfed)

Enjoy the short film.
See the power of wicked reminder that most people never knew existed.
This was out only real viable AOE skill.
TR are supposed to be damage dealers, but every change we get lowers our total DPS.
I don't get it.

Please don't change our skill (wicked reminder).

What you will witness in this film will not effect PvP and is very hard to do in PvE

Please I beg of you.. do not change our skill.

1 question: is this in the preview? I don't remember it being AOE, if it has always been AOE, you have the right to judge me because I used it before and thought it was useless.

This is not preview.. its live now..
There are many skills people just never saw their full potential so they put them on a list of useless skills...

If any changes to wicked reminder ever happen, I personally feel that wicked reminder should be a drain hp skill that always removes a % of remaining hp from a player.

level 1 wicked reminder = 10% hp drain from targets (pve and pvp)
level 2 wicked reminder = 15% hp drain from targets (pve and pvp)
level 3 wicked reminder = 20% hp drain from targets (pve and pvp)

This will help us do well on bosses and also it will help us do well vs players with 50,000 hit points in pvp

It's AOE, has short cooldown, no target limit. I occasionally use it in a party when I don't have to worry about myself or my team. Needs a bit of practice to pull off, as in aim a bit since it tends to point the wrong direction if you just chain press encounters.

Like dazing strike, a pain to use when teamed with pvp gwf/gf who employs knocks, then you'll be better off with something else, works wonderfully in a party that groups adds together.

It is about to have a target limit of 5...

I don't feel it needs to be changed though...

I dont play a lot of TR, I only have one pve tr and wicked reminder never left my tray, it was the only aoe atack we had since the (rest is a bad joke, and one only works well if you are hitting only one character).

Still, the debuff is pretty solid and you can still hit some HAMSTER with it like a group of trolls or whatever under a singularity (also to be nerfed, witch is the most absurd thing cryptic has done with any class till this day.)

I feel like I am paying thousands of dollars for a game that is in pre beta mode.
Very few games nerf basic skill so late in the game.

We bought a V12 car and woke up with a V4. (this is how I am feeling)

I feel ripped off...

Because most skills with high or unlimited target caps are getting nerfed.

Also many powers and feats that debuff multiple targets have been nerfed or changed. (Student of the Sword, Assailing Force, Elemental Empowerment).

It doesn't. It's a complete obsolete skill. It's just that since they are adjusting all AoE to the same standards, they can't leave out WR. Does Smoke Bomb have a target cap? I never noticed and I don't need to use it that often. If not, it'll be added to the list of changed AoEs as well.
People use PF and DC debuffs to reduce any defense to 0.
I've never seen WR actually being used in PvE. It's not needed so the TR can focus on what he does best: boss killing. I haven't even taken the skill since I respecced my TR to WK and if I have the spare points, I'd rather put it in Blitz than WR.
Is it used in PvP at all? I don't remember seeing it often. I suppose it could be useful against GWFs, but it would seriously mess with the stealth rotation most TRs have.

smoke bomb has no target cap
bait and switch has no target cap

we have unlimited points now..

WR is a great skill vs bosses and tougher elites and almost never leaves my bar in PvE.

However, fixing the target cap to 5 won't make much of a difference because Singularity cap will be down to 8. Outside of the freak 1% chances, unless Singularity was employed, you'd never hit more than 4 targets with it anyway.

And any power granting AP per target hit is a bug and being fixed across all classes, so no problems there.

AP is not an issue to me...
I don't want to lose the potential to lose more dps since TR is a dps class.

Like I said, WR lost its damage potential when AS was reduced to a cap of 8

Because the PvE TR had such devastating AE damage, oh wait...

Actually I agree it should be fixed but it just feels a bit like kicking the TR when they are down is all.

Whirlwind of blades should be next, its crazy op deals 30k crits in pvp can one shot whole team at once .needs a dmg nerf
and should be only single target coz its so op.
shocking execution dmg is fine now but players should be able to dodge.
and plz cut the ap gain from bait its crazy op people are just spamming dailys.
courage breaker is clearly broken coz it works to good on gwf.
they should move just as fast only deal less dmg

W/e they plan to do to make TR viable in PVE. They never will be to be honest. Others can agro, tank, deal better DPS, debuff, ect.

I just tested wicked reminder in pvp. It only can be applied with one stack. And it only reduces total DR of enemy by literally 0.5%.

This is why my TR is my least-played character. Everything that was fun about him to play has been nerfed beyond the point of balance. It’s kind of like when clerics could – you know – heal and they nerfed Divine AS because it was keeping people alive. My DC with greater Barkshield is frequently one-shot in IWD against the beholder or remorhaz, and even with pots and healing in divine mode he still can’t keep himself alive, much less others. Did I mention that clerics still can’t turn undead a year later? Even though they show it in the opening movie. Basically, all of the features you use to develop a play style are at risk. Are some OP? Yes. Should they be fixed? Yes. Should they be reduced to the point of worthlessness? No – and that’s the boundary they keep crossing. The CW was too good at controlling, so they nerfed his skills. The TR was too good at tricking things so they’ve nerfed his skills. The GWF has been broken since launch – nerfing would require fixing first. Once the new class is released, they’ll start to nerf the HR. Then they’ll throw a double-XP weekend in an attempt to make us happy that our Level 60 characters are as powerful as farmers with pitchforks.*
*Unless you’re willing to fork over major money for coalescent wards to make your perfect vorpals, perfect soulfourged, and buy lots of stuff so you can feed your ice armor from IWD. Then you’re a peasant with a club.

My TR used to get the top kills and Damage in Dungeons and Skirmishes. Lately I am last unless there is a Cleric and I am non stop dynamite.

Its too Nerfed for its own good.

What does NERF actually mean? I know the application of it and the meaning - I mean the actual words it is representing.

As PvE built rogue I did know this awesome power existed an in fact it's one of the most awesome powers against aboleth/hrimnir and other not moving targets. Of course some permastealth didn't even care about it's existence...not even 5 stacks would help them penetrate some tanky GWFs.
It's a shame it will no longer be an AoE. I just hope they won't pull the same nerf on dazing strike.

P.S This dumb fashion to type different color texts...
