Gathering Informations about the Valiant Warrior T1 GF set

Hello everyone out there,

As they are nerfing the KC-Set with upcoming module 3 i am trying to find an alternative. So does someone have any Information about the Valiant Warrior Set? Does the Party profit from the debuff? Does it have a targetcap? (It does not stack defense as i'm currently testing it.) Does it have an internal CD as HG? ...
I'd be happy about any information you could give me.

It could possibly become an alternative to the nerf of KC so far and as an addition to the HV of the CW. (450 less defense is a raw dpsboost of 6-9% to a usual mob, while KC with 15%power is a dps boost on an average to advanced party of ~5%. It seems like the GF is doomed with better T1-Set options than T2 tho -.- ...)

My GF has it but I've never really done a lot of checking. It would be hard to verify much of anything since it only has a 25% chance to proc. Assuming that the tooltip isn't completely misleading, it should affect all attacks on the mob. No idea how long the debuff lasts as Cheri only get run in groups to help parties stranded in FH and I could have all blue gear for that.

It might be time to graduate to a T2 set now with the nerf to KC. Sets are dirt cheap (comparatively) now. High General will give a good bonus on crit severity to the group, but it requires the group to have good crit chances to begin with. Grand Regent 4 set gives a nice power bonus (although if I'm correct, the buff won't be doubled if you're a conqueror spec). Timeless may be the go-to set once again because of the amount of power and the 4 piece crit buff... until they decide to nerf that set too...

Point is neither you nor the Party REALLY benefit of the T2-Setbonuses. Example given: Grand Regent is only worth the 4-Set Bonus if having 5k+ Def. The Soft-/Hardcap of Defense starts at 3,6k. So you would probably invest too much attributs wasting in Def than you could already invest in Power. Timeless Hero is nice for it'S crit buff, but presuming that we already have a low crit-chance it is of lesser value... and there are other ways to stack crit instead. And High General as Ant-Monster already mentioned and i tested it myself has an internal 30seconds cd, which makes it rather "worthless" too... Even if you are able to crit (with 3k points on crit and feat ->25% critchance) 0-15 targets with VM at a singu it will be 0-150% critical severity for your team. Nevertheless the chances exist that you crit before triggering VM and hit only 1 or 2 mobs... in that case it'll be 10-20%, including the cd and is still worse than wearing KC which has more or less a constant buff for your party. And both sets KC and VW have a 25% chance to proc so i see no reason why not to switch to the VW exspecially if the average dps of the party will increase.
At least that are my suggestions.

Anyway to explain further why it might be better than KC is because of the reason how dmgoutput is made in this game: An attack uses the armorpenskill compared to the DR of the target. After that debuffs are counted (like decreased defense etc). Usually Armorpen can not go beyond the actuall DR of the Target but debuffs can. (That's at least what i heard and the reason why most CW'S are wearing HV.)

But you're right. We should definitly get a T2-Set that is worth wearing after all that time... I'd prefer switching 4-Set-Bonus of Grand Regent and VW and let the decrease of Def stack up 2-3 times. (Even if it is common to the HV then...) We would need an alternative to the Stalwart Bulwark then too: If you block an enemy attack there is a small chance to provide an extra-attack against that enemy... or something... (otherwise we would have 2 T1-Sets increasing our power...)
