In need of like-minded players...

Hello there, I'm currently looking to organize a Team/Party with one of each individual Class out there (Gear scores don't matter or anything, just keep reading and I'll tell you why) to go through the T1/T2/T2.5 Dungeons without the use of excessive glitches/skips/abusive means of finishing said Dungeons.

Part of what made me quit Neverwinter a while ago, was that it was increasingly difficult to find like-minded players that would be in it for the run of the Dungeon - sitting there for an hour or so to just explore/fight everything - as most people would instead make it about; finding means and ways to pass through Mobs/Bosses without much effort all for the Loot. {Don't get me wrong, I've participated in such methods as a means to learn, and more often than not even with my constant sighs about utilizing such a method, I continued to group up with people who participated in such things. Not only that, there were times that I actually implored such methods as for me it was all about the Loot. But when I started thinking about it eventually, it all became boring.}

With all of the above being said though, I'm currently looking for a group of 4 individuals (CW + DC + GF + GWF - I'm the TR in the Group) all of whom would be interested in actually going through each and every Dungeon whilst taking our time. If you've read up until this point, you've surely noticed in the very first paragraph I mention that GS doesn't matter...and well to me, it doesn't. As long as you've got the drive to sit through a Dungeon and not call it a day after 1 wipe, you're more than welcome to join me! (Yes, that includes sitting through MC even after 10 wipes or until we've run out of potions or something.)

This is also optional, but it would be awesome to be able to communicate with one another through the use of Skype or Mumble, or TS, or whatever, as it would prove to be more efficient. HOWEVER, - and this is a pretty big however - this doesn't have to be done. This is because amongst the community there are people who say that 'without any form of communication via these programs/applications, things can't be done' and this is definitely not the case. All one has to do is type - as that's the means of communication. If people are willing to actually read Chat, and learn to discern various things, then improvements can more than always be made, and that eventually means a completion for whatever task we - as a group - are doing!

If people are actually interested, and would like to start the Dungeons with the Lowest Tiered GS's (5.7, 6.2k, 8.3k, 9.2k) and none of the higher Tiered GS's (11k+-12k+-13k+, etc.) I'll be more than happy to try and lower my GS to those marks so that people don't start with comments such as; "well you have "X GS" so you're not doing it right!" and so on.

My aim with the Stream is to actually get people to watch it so that they see these Dungeons can be completed with such methods. (When it comes to CN, we won't be pushing any Mobs off the sides as we'll try and finish it with actually trying to use the various Classes to do their jobs...Tanks taking Aggro, Control Wizards making sure CC is in effect and so on.) My other aim is to shamelessly promote my Stream so that I can also get more viewers who would possibly participate and laugh at my Noobness. (Also, I'll be hosting a Giveaway on October 19th, 2013 with a Grand Prize. Stream = www.twitch.tv/randomdroyd <--shameless promotion.)

TL;DR:

I'm looking for 4 individuals all of whom are interested in running Dungeons not for the Loot - which means that these individuals are in it for the long haul and are not interested in using skips/glitches/exploits/abusive sets and so on to complete the runs. Currently looking for a - CW, DC, GF, GWF. (1 of each Class, as I'm a TR.)

This also means that these individuals are not going to call it 'quits' after 1 or 2 wipes, and instead are in it to actually try and get better from multiple attempts - if it takes multiple attempts to complete various Dungeons.

Edit: These are the current positions that have been filled.
1) TR - Trickster Rogue - [Yes.]
2) DC - Devoted Cleric - [Yes.]
3) CW - Control Wizard - [Yes.]
4) GF - Guardian Fighter - [Yes.]
5) GWF - Great Weapon Fighter - [Yes.]

Please do stay tuned as I will be trying to get the Stream up ASAP with us starting with the T1 Dungeon: Lair of the Mad Dragon.

I undoubtedly have a ways to go until I hit max level and get enough gear in order to successfully complete dungeons of that level, but I may be sending you a tell one day. I'm definitely interested in actually playing the game, learning it, and having fun.

Gear requirements to me have always been as simple as asking one question: "Am I geared enough to do this?" Note I didn't say "do this perfectly" or "do this with excessive ease."

I started the NW_Legit_Community custom chat channel for people who don't use exploits/glitches/bugs, so I recommend joining it. Regardless, good luck on your endeavor!

This seems like an alright idea. What might also be fun is setting up a static group, starting at 1st level, and playing through the game together right from the beginning.

    Good luck to you.

this is how my guild got started, one of each class learning each dungeon and completing them legitly. and it can be done easily, as we did all the t2's...only thing we havent killed yet is draco but to be honest we have only tried it a couple times as we've been focusing on gearing up the rest of the guild. our guild is pretty big now, but we plan to finish cn soon with the core five, just for old times sake... its a great fun way doing what you are doing.

we started out with none of our t2 sets, and earned it all by trial and error... we blow through those dungeons now... good luck and if you need tips on strats feel free to shoot me a pm

I am also in the legit channel.
Please join it and put together groups in there as right now it is fairly dry most of the time.

I am very happy to join some thorough Dungeon runs and play a DC
I have played about a month now and have reached a point that if I can not find some regular groups it is not even worth my time to invest in the game anymore.

That's something I'd be interested in, be it one other person or a group. I'm a Devoted Cleric, and I'm enjoying it thus far.

While I like the idea of no exploits and no runs I am also no fan of killing everything that doesn't even block your way. It is a difference running through mobs that aggro you and you keep running or sneaking past mobs moving over a rock or close to a wall and not getting aggro at all and just pass the mobs without fighting. There are many mobs which you can just leave without lots of problems to aggro them. And since they won't drop any interesting stuff anyway those fights really are a waste of time. No one would be left behind or taking aggro if your team just walks past those mobs. So clearing 100% of the dungeon is a) not really necessary and b) a waste of time while you still can play the dungeon legit.

Other than that I also have lots of problems lately to find "normal" groups. Yesterday in Karru, it was a pug. One said "I've never done this dungeon before". I said "Lets do it slowly then" but then another guy just jumped in and said "Run where we run and die where we die". And that was my cue to leave this party. Even at the very start people just showed their unwillingness to play the dungeon normally.

There is no reason why one must "sterilize" a dungeon en route to the boss. There are definitely groups that are off in niches or that can be circumvented, without having to resort to the use of glitches, holes in the map, or other odd wall-scaling exploits, so in that regard I wholeheartedly agree.

I am vehemently against campfire suicide runs and those that bark orders without an ounce of explanation.

Thank you to everyone wishing me Good Luck. I can not think of anything else to say - except the same to you all in your own endeavors.

As for what's going to happen, well I've got a Group, and we'll be starting with the T1 Mad Dragon instance (as it was requested by a member) and then after that probably hitting up the T2's - something like Castle Never/Dread Vault right off the bat. Stay tuned to the Twitch Channel - will start streaming at 8:00PM EST tonight. (www.twitch.tv/randomdroyd <--Shameless promotion again.)
