?? GF, DC, CW, TR & GWF can pop rogues from stealth now, why do we need another class?

I mean from specific radius at a range where they use an ability. I'm not just talking about walking past one and catching a glimpse.

That is what happen in WoW with the hunter, but it does not mean that it will happen here too

Have you considered? they will have an ability that takes GWFs out of unstoppable... And GFs block has a 6 second CD, and makes CWs mastery slot unable to cast for 6 seconds as well... OMG nerf the hunter class! Its too OP

Yes, I have seen this mechanic in other MMOs to counter stealth classes.

    L2P /lol

Go back to school and learn how to pull TR's out of stealth.

    I play TR.

I guess you just don't understand the mechanic I am talking about...

Also, please tell me more about this "school".

The OP didn't say anything about other classes not being able to put TRs out of stealth. He only said that the Ranger could put it out of stealth with ranged radius compared to other classes, who need to walk past by it and guess his location.

Perhaps it is you who need to go back to English Comprehension reading school.

    To get back to topic,

I think that would be a great idea, and people will complain less about perma stealth rogues.

    Thanks...

This is what I was getting at: ranger being the "anti-stealth" with a specific ability to find rogues within a certain radius.

EDIT: Yes, the idea was based on a guild conversation where it was suggested having a buffer for perma-stealth rogues. It could be a ability in the ranger class to be "anti-stealth".

Well, if they can find a way to fit a PvP ability into PvE, then sure, why not.

Good point. Perhaps it could work to pop out PvE mobs likes Assassins in Spider and Dread Vault. Once revealed from range, they can be burned down.

I dont think rangers have such an ability. I just went looking for a 4e handbook. (only know a little about AD&D of previous games)

don't think theres any stealth uncovering move there? or maybe i didnt look hard enough.

I swear, if rangers get a "red circle" that pops rogues from stealth this game will become WoW. Might as well give us a Paladin class that can "bubble" while they're at it. Maybe druids can have totems too.

I sort of get the OP's point.

I think it would be neat if rangers had something that allows them to notice rogues under stealth sooner than other people, like for example, if a normal class can see the rogue when they get 2 meters from them, a ranger would notice them when they get 6 meters from them, roleplay wise a ranger would have keen senses and tracking capabilities that allow him to notice something approaching better than other classes.

As for reveal rogues for other people, dunno, would be nice too and would force us rogues to play smart when a ranger is nearby but i think there will be aoe skills from ranger that would allow them to damage us from distance like multishot or some sort of aoe snare, or traps.

Even though i am perma build i think it would be nice if a class designed for hunting things could keep a better track of invisible enemies than an average person without this specific training.

Considering this a DnD game I find it unlikely rangers will be able to do this.

If anything, this shoudl be something that a caster can do. Then again, in Neverwinter, a wizard cannot cast invisibility, so who knows!

    Just imo

Very understandable about it not being in the official rules, but I'm just looking at it from a game standard, much like borgued3. That is exactly how I see it, as an ability to force rogues to play a little smarter knowing a ranger is around. For instance, in SWG, spies could use a "reveal" ability to pop other spies out of stealth, which limits their offense. Having played one, I know I was a little more cautious knowing an "anti-spy" was around to negate my big attacks or force me to burn through my stealth abilities.
