Everyone talks about the cat and stone but nobody seems to know anything about Galeb Duhr, Honey Badger and Angel of Protection.
Granted nobody has the angel but judging off the skill description, 2.5-3k stats could be worth giving up for all that damage/survivability. Or am I just wrong...

How useful the angel will be depends on how much companions change in the next 300 days.

There's a sticky around which talks a lot about all the in game companions (30 odd pages), plus the wiki.
    A world to defend
    A city to protect
    innocents to save
"Why?" They ask "they hate you"
We're heroes it's what we do.

I have stone and galeb duhr on my CW.

Galeb is rather useless, at 60. because 1. it only attacks one target, (one your targeting or stick to the previous if its a high class (weak<elite etc).

There is a delay in its response, so if you are squishie then prepared to take some hits before galeb does its job.

It is quite a sturdy thing, if you can get it onto something you can ignore for a while. However ive always found stone far more useful, even in foundry.

There is only one case where i do still use it, in GG phase 1 if im solo or without a tank/cleric. because those elites can hurt, and the galeb can distract them well enough before they get close to you (large open area.)

Any other situation seems more of a liability to me.

If it can be squished, it's useless at end game.

I have the stone and the Galeb Duhr. I use the stone 99% of the time - the only time I switch is when I do foundry stuff. The stone has the massive advantage of being unkillable, and the stat boosts are just too good to ignore.
    Hoping for improvements...

If your companion is dead, then it can't provide you with bonuses. Since the stone never dies, that's never a problem. It's also a pain in the rear end how companions will aggro stuff they weren't supposed to aggro.

As for the Honey Badger, I have only seen 3 different people have it. I imagine it's similar to every other striker class pet, though. It'll probably deal about 100-1000 damage before exploding.

Same as my last post in regards to Honey Badger. if it can be killed it's useless.

I'm a DC. I'm taking things slowly and was very glad for my white mage and (from lvl 52 on) my blue skeleton dog.
I loved the dog for it's willingness to stay where it gave me combat advantage and once in advantage it triggered it's takedown quite frequently.

But ever since I picked up my unicorn seal implement, I stopped caring about the extra damage from the dog (direct and with combat advantage) for my soloing and the stone just does so much more for me. Plus what was said above about being unkillable.
