Love the game, and am usually one of those playing rather than posting on the forums.
However during the prelude to Gauntlgrym our guild's ranks swelled from the requirement for entrants to be guilded, and we subsequently reached a threshold that I had previously thought was not in place: a limit on members per guild.
At first we removed all players inactive for more than 4 days, then after more recruitment we were forced to remove many player alts. We have now reached the point where I have needed to ask my officers to hold back on recruitment due to there being very few spots left without removing active players. As an aside, we only recruit mature lvl 60 players, so we have not exactly come to this point by opening our doors to all comers.
Considering the limited inter-guild capabilities currently in place, opening a new 'sister' guild would likely not be ideal. I'm not sure what the issues might be from a practical perspective, but in theory the best solution from my personal point of view would be to remove the member cap for guilds.
I appreciate any consideration you may take in regards to this matter.

500 people in your guild? And you need more room? I seriously doubt you have 500 active players. Kick inactives. If you do. then congrats you're guild is probably the core players of this horribly ****ty game.

I'm kinda fed up with people running around PE and inviting me to join their guild when I don't know who they are or what they're interested in, and I'll only ever join a guild with people I know and know I like to play with.
I just think that characters on the same account should not count as an individual member, as 500 member slots is plenty, but if you take alts and such into consideration, it really isn't...
Counting handles rather than characters would be a good alternative, since we do have quite a few players with 3 or 4 lvl 60s in the guild. While I have little programming knowledge, I would not except that removing the limit altogether would require a large coding effort, not do I envisage it having any detrimental impact in a practical sense to gameplay or other parts of the Neverwinter experience.
With 500 "active" members your guild chat must be almost as bad as Enclave chat. There is no prize for having the largest guild in the game - maybe you should cut back and stop recruiting at all for 6 months. Get to actually know some of your members.

If I was a dev I would just laugh at this post.. whata joke 500 person guild? really? who in there right mind would join something like this? probably nubs that just want a tag.... a guild like this will be full of about 3-4 clicks and about 475 people that dont know each other at all and never say a word.... If you know anything about guild structure at all and are in your right mind you will not join a guild like this ...
