Hey guys,
Please leave me your map code here, and I will play it right now.
If you'd be so kind, could you please return the favor by playing NW-DP3QEQK88 ?
I only need one more review to get onto the actual search list, but I'm primarily looking for feedback ON THE FORUMS. It's Medium/Heavy RP. Medium Combat. The fastest I've pushed through is about 22 min. But if you like RP, it could take up to 90 minutes to explore all the content.
All in all it took me close to an hour, and I don't think I did even half of the optional stuff at the village party.
This is an exceptional piece of work in every department.
I think I counted 9 different maps (4 phases of Village, 2 Phases of the Druid's house, Escape Caves, Mountain Pass, Goblin Caves), each one with meticulous attention to detail.
The NPC dialogue options in the Village were brilliantly done, no two NPC felt the same, some of the responses were humourous, serious, smutty etc - each NPC was brilliantly done.
I am not going to drop any spoilers here, suffice to say that the "major NPC" from the village onwards is simply amazingly crafted. I was genuinely dumbstruck and jaw-dropped by some of what you have done.
One of the highlights was the druid casting her spell to help you out of the caves - simply awesome.
And tying it all together a story of such delicate crafting that you almost feel like you are driving force behind the story even though in reality the "Major NPC" is - and rightly so. The way you deliver aspects of the back story, especially at the end (no spoilers again) is simply brilliant.
If I played this another 10 times I wouldn't feel I was "wasting time", I am certain there is so much more for me to see in there.
And if I did play it another 10 times I am equally certain I would still be unable to find one single thing "wrong" or worthy of "nitpicking".
I genuinely urge every single Foundry Author to play this, it really is that amazingly good.
It has been a pleasure to enjoy such a masterpiece, and I will be playing it again.
Thank you.

PS: I played this on my new-bee toon, so had no AD to tip, that will be rectified this evening when I play it again on my main.

This is exactly what every foundry author wants to hear! After so many hours of work, it really makes me smile ear to ear! Thank you very much for your comments! I am so happy you enjoyed it!
BTW: I got the reference regarding the main NPC's name, and it was a "light bulb" moment.
Up until then I had been thinking "wow, this is amazing", after the "light bulb" moment (especially how it ties in to her powers etc) I was "OMG, this is genius, this takes it all to another level".
Oh, and I missed a "map" I think, so it may be 10.
Pure brilliance, if we were in the same town/city I'd now be heading out the door to buy you a drink.
Because I still have a smile on my face about playing it an after after I finished.
In fact, to heck with it, I'm going back in for seconds.

LOL!
There is indeed 10 maps. My original thought was "That's a lot of zoning", but it had to happen in order to show the time transitions, and luckily you hardly notice the loading. (This was also how I learned the hard lesson of detailing a map and copying it BEFORE adding NPC's. Spent 3 days trying to figure out why I was lagging so bad, and why all my houses had dialogue choices!)
I am very curious, however, when you said you recognized a link between her name and her powers; I think it may have been an accident. What reference were you referring to? I hope that realizing it wasn't intentional doesn't detract from the enthusiasim. We'll call it a happy accident!
Akera's name was actually "Akira" when I wrote the table top version. Then I realized it was a boy's name.
I even thought about naming her Amelie, as the name is 'softer' and more innocent sounding. I thought it might have made the PC feel more protective of someone a bit more delicate.
Your quest is the BEST quest I have played yet. Everything from beginning to end is well planed and executed superbly. I subbed you and am EAGERLY awaiting your next foundry. BRAVO!!!!
Sweetness

I urge every single foundry author to play this, it is THAT good.
I have not even finished yet (40 mins in now - feels like 10) and if I could award 10 Stars now I would.
This is exceptional story-telling, characterisation, dialogue crafting, foundry use etc.
I am awe-struck.
