As an avid PVPer and a huge fan of this game, I must speak out about the PVP changes and why it isn't working for those of us that LIVE for PVP.
We are now forced to sandbag until the enemy team has 500 points or so / time based. Our PVP premade no longer has fun because we have to make sure the enemy team doesn't leave and feels like they have a chance so that we can get ample glory (and XP on lower level toons). So our skype conversation goes like this now:
"OK all to 1 until they get 2 & 3"
"STOP! Don't go yet.. they don't have 2 & 3 capped"
"[Team member]" STOP!
Team member: "I just want to fight"
"Ok, they have 2 & 3 gogo... but don't take 3 until they get 500 points. (or 10 plus minutes)"
"Who is at 3? Get off 3! Get out of the circle or they will quit"
With the occasional "Wait... are they sandbagging us? Do a guild count."
"Nah 3 from the same guild. 2 pugs"
Team member: "I Don't feel comfortable with them leading us in points. If they are sandbagging we might be in trouble"
"No. We can't risk them leaving or giving up."
Team member "Why can't we just beat them as fast as possible? Wouldn't that be more XP /Glory per minute than doing this?"
The answer is, no. You can end matches with NOTHING if you go for the [RP] "GLORY" / "Domination".
On an additional note: It SEEMS like the match making system tries to place premades against premades first. So if people would like to complain about premades, I would like to suggest another topic if you think that isn't working correctly.
