Controller support please?
I have a Razer Orbweaver and it is a fantastic piece of hardware that I use for pretty much all my games and MMO's etc. Neverwinter however is an exercise in futility when I try to move around and it just kind of jams in one direction, and then requires me to center the joystick again before pushing it a second time to go the way I want to go. This makes it impossible to play unfortunately and I have noticed the Razer Nostromo guys having the same issue with the joystick pad. I did some diging and it appears that this game had gamepad support at some stage apparently?
So could your Dev team please code in some support for this feature? I would be more than happy to throw some dollars your way if it helps get it done? (I don't have much cash but would do whatever I could)

This would be nice. I wouldn't mind using my wireless Logitech gamepad for Neverwinter. After all, when they lock our cursor to the camera (until we hit alt, etc.), and when we have limited skills on our bar, a controller would work just fine with this MMO if they added some support for them. Manually mapping WASD to an analog stick isn't so good.
Surprisingly enough, this is probably the first MMORPG in a long time that I've played that could actually work with a gamepad! When I first started learning the controls, the first thing I did was go through the Control settings to see if there was an option to use my Xbox 360 controller, but there wasn't.
The whole game has a gamepad feel to it! You press Alt to move the mouse cursor around, but it seems to play a very minor role and I barely ever use it! I can move my cursor and my view at the same time, which would work perfectly using a Right-Analog stick like many console games!
There's only 4 action buttons, 3 "potion" buttons, a mount button and a jump button! You can fit all of those very easily on any gamepad!
Anyways you get the idea. The game feels like it was optimized to be on a console! I wonder if Cryptic was planning on porting this game to the Xbox 360, PS3... or even Xbox One or PS4 in the near future?

Like the other two Cryptic Engine games, NW had excellent controller support built in up until Closed Beta Weekend 3. It worked really well. It was removed for some reason.
Oddly enough the actual coding for controller support is already there, it's part of the cryptic engine. Both STO and CO have it and it works quite well. For some stupid reason the Devs have decided to disable it in Neverwinter. I for one think this is idiotic as a controller gives awesome gameplay if set up right.

100% agreed.
For me it's not a huge deal, but would be a nice to-have. I'm more than comfortable with the traditional mouse/keyboard, but a controller would let me kick back and do a little more relaxed Neverwinter gaming.
Like you, what I don't get is that if they had it working, why remove it? If they didn't want to officially support it, that's fine, release it with the catch that it's given AS-IS.

Despite the fact I despise gamepads, I think that controller support is an obvious missing feature especially with the limited powerset available to each character.
