I can't beleave Perfec tworld gone back in time to the Old type games using a KeyBoard ...All games of this type today is Mouse control ..I download a bit of Rubbish i will never play at all ..I feel cheated in a way as well ...Thinking it going to be a far better game to play ..I don't have a very big Cap for data download an this took up heaps ...

Perfectworld was a Great Mouse control game
Forsaken mouse control
Battle of immortal Mouse control
War of immortal mouse co ntrol ...
Kings of Kings Mouse control

Neverwinter 15 years back in time keyboard control how many player going to remember what key to hit ..AN how many younger player be put off this game ...Maybe this is the way the USA Perfectworld wish to go forward now onwards ..

2008 i started to play perfectworld games been a loyal member Today i feel very let down ..

I wish you all the best ...But i will remove this game off my facebook page ...

Actually, the way this game is set up is becoming more of the norm for games. I use a Naga mouse and honestly, I prefer this type of interface. This is a faster way to play, at least IMO. It takes a bit of getting used to, but if you give it a try, you may find it's not so bad after all. Trick is, don't give up. My first time using these types of controls in a game, I hated it, but once I changed to the Naga mouse, it's now my preferred way.

Does anyone understand what this thread is about?
Is the OP really suggesting what I think he is? That clicking on hotkeys is a good thing and he misses it?

This should be a case study for what NOT to post if you don't want people thinking you are well... "special"

    Good one OP!

Can't tell if serious or not

However, the controls in this game are actually what's new, gone are the days of 5 quickbars full of skills to remember. I actually much prefer this system. Age of Conan used a similar type as does TERA. It's also looking like ESO will also have a similar control system.

You still use a mouse? Man, are you behind the times. Modern players control their games with air guitar.

    LOL...

On a serious note, I have no problems with the controls.... EXCEPT! I hate being limited on what skills I can use. I sort of miss having all my skills and pots laid out for me with a click of my finger.

PWE along with his grammar both have been set back 15 years into the past.

I think time has just gone backwards period.

Yea, some things are not meant to be smoked, and whatever you have tried is definitely in that box.

Is it stoneage gaming that the mouse is an important part of the control scheme? I must admit I am yet to fully understand what the complaint is here.

Small skillbars are hardly new, GW1 had it. :V

Had a nice little laugh at this thread! :D

I think you'll find that the majority of mainstream MMOs are going to have this kind of setup. As this allows for easy porting over to console. To be honest, I wouldn't be overly surprised if we'll be playing WITH them in games within the next couple of years.

Er, I don't get it, OP. I use a mouse in this game just like in most other games I've played. The controls are a lot like Skyrim's (except the "S" key); mouse and keyboard are used in conjunction with each other. Get a gaming keypad for your left hand (or right, if you're left-handed) so your keys will be in a more convenient arrangement of your choosing. Use the mouse to control your direction of movement while using the keypad at the same time to go forward or strafe right/left.

The "S" key unfortunately doesn't allow us to walk backward. But everything else is standard gaming controls.

Wait...wait, wait, wait...this game is set up so you play almost exclusively with the mouse. It's essentially a 100% mouse look game.

I'm not sure how you can play this game without using your mouse the entire time.

    /not sure if serious

I think its good that they don't even give you the option to be a clicker.

I leveled to 70 on WoW as a clicker and a keyboard turner, since it didn't really matter, and it was really hard to break the habit.

There are things that are 'a step back in progress' with this game, and the controls is not one of them.

The lack of sidekicking like the other Cryptic games on the other hand...
Yes, I play a Great Weapon Fighter, and I tend to keep it that way ... till the Ranger or Monk comes in. :)

I know what your talking about OP, I prefer mouse controlled games too. Before you uninstall though, try this out (this is how I play Neverwinter) press Alt, then click Options, there is a section called 'keybinds' (you may have to expand it).

I've changed forward movement to left mouse press, attack 1 to middle mouse press, and attack 2 to right mouse press. The only time I use the keyboard is for encounter and daily skills.

It makes a huge difference being able to move your character with the press of a mouse button (I have arthritis in my left hand so there's no way I could play by holding the W key down all day).

    Hope that helps.
