Every new MMO I play, and I like to play as many as I can, now have guilds almost exclusively using voice comms while playing. Every guild I join has a mostly barren /gu chat, most of it happening on mumble/vent/ts etc.
I personally enjoy in game sounds, in game music, in game voice acting in MMOs and I feel I miss out on all that by using voice comms.
Any guilds out there that actually uses the in game guild chat a lot?

Are you sure you can come to this conclusion? There are ALOT of guilds out there...
Just the ones I seem to join then ;-P

In an action game where you can't really chat in text very much if you are doing your job properly in a party its not really surprising that a lot of guilds prefer voice chat. Have you tried playing with your volume settings so that you can hear both in game sounds and voice chat?
