I would love to see a DDO type trap (IE the box, actual traps, etc. ) with a randomness to them. While I loved the fact that I could script NWN to put random traps in, I never was happy with the glowing red square on the ground for traps.
Random traps would make the game rock! Esp if the devs did not wimp out on them like DDO did and make them just a minor irritant. Grimtooth all the way! Elite level traps that can kill! Traps that drop puddings, oozes and cubes on you! Traps that seal the corridor and flood it with water or oil and then ignite it!
Gimme some trap loving I say!
Oh, and on a side note - I would love to be able to cast stone to flesh and actually dig my way out of said filling corridor...

And you run to save yourself from being flattened, then at next intersection turn left and the iron ball turns right.
This thread made me look up traps online to see what other DM's have done. I liked this one.
This is your standard pit trap with a twist: if characters search the pit trap, they find another trap door in the floor, with hidden treasures inside. Alternatively, they find another trap door leading into another pit, and take even more damage. You pick.
I would turn this one into a sort of elevator puzzle but similar idea.

There is a quest in DDO that has the Indiana Jones rolling rock trap. Part of the Lordsmarch Plaza quests. Was fun the first time I ran into it.

/evilly seconded. I would consider paying RL money just so see a GC "plopped" on somebody :eek:
Anyways, here's to hoping for a GC lurking somewhere down a dark narrow tunnel... away from the world... away from the light... away from all hope...
