Combat advantage question

plasticbatplasticbat Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 12,513 Arc User
For a warlock, it almost always has combat advantage in all directions.
My question is: when my warlock has combat advantage (the enemy has full blue ring on the floor), does my companion also have combat advantage? Or, he has to be on the opposite of me to have combat advantage?

If it is a full ring then your companion must have CA as well. I always notice this on my toons especially with my Chultan Tiger vs. a single enemy but it is never a full ring and for some reason when my Chultan Tiger is attacking from behind and my toon is in front, the enemy gets the blue part in front which seems to give my toon CA if I continue to attack in front where that little blue space is. Unfortunately, I only look at the red bar and not the numbers that pop up so no idea but the red bar does seem to get lower a bit faster when I make the effort to do combat properly.

When using AoE power with time duration, system think that enemy or enemies being attacked from multiple sides and indicate as you have CA against them.

Now does it work in this way.. Duno.. Actually it was never specify how it should work in such situation, and players are free to guess.

It's like same thing when warlock gain CA via NP,NM class feature, then also via postioning + blink dog companions effect ( gain CA against target) + someone in party use Black Death scorpion which also give CA to everyone in party..

As far I can say, that mechanic is slighly ( a lot ) broken.

I know this thread is pretty old, but if you mean the CA you get from "No pity, no mercy" feat, then the answer is no, only you will get the CA.
