A button suddenly not working for almost everything.

Like the title says, has anyone else noticed the sudden inability to use the a button for almost everything. Mailing profession items or other standard items from one character to another on the same account? Something that I was literally just able to do no longer works. I tried multiple pre-made with the same result. Unbound or even account bound items can’t be selected to mail. You can select the item with the mail but when you have a quantity more than one it will not allow you to press a to attach it.
With further testing this also impacts splitting any items like preservation wards, enchanting stones etc. pretty much anything with a quantity of more than one.
This is not only affected pre-made toons. This impacted my personally created character as well. I couldn’t split items or mail anything.
Just switching between characters did not fix the issue.
I had to close the game completely to resolve the issue.
