New Dawn
An inclusive community of non-elitist players
Introduction
The roots of our foundation are strong, because they are set in the principles of placing the individual above stats, experience, or item level. When you put the person behind the avatar first, you give room for learning, growth, and achievement. But more importantly, you forge bonds that stand the test of time, and weather the occasional frustrations that initially come with changes to the game. In essence, a family of like-minded players is born. And so it is with the New Dawn Alliance, where we have gathered a community that knows the importance of encouraging participation, rather than excluding it. If you can queue for the dungeon, trial, or skirmish, you're invited to participate in any run.
What's behind the name
A New Dawn symbolises a fresh start . . . a new beginning. It signals that brighter things are ahead, and so it is with us. When our previous Alliance disbanded, some of the guilds in that Alliance who shared a like-minded, non-elitist philosophy, decided we enjoyed playing together and socialising so much, that we would make our own. And so we set out, confident that what we have is special, because the focus is on the player behind the pixels.
Why should your Guild join New Dawn?
We are a multi-cultural community that plays across many different time zones, which means, there are always plenty on to run events, dungeons, or just to chat with.
Our Guilds are active, with enthusiastic and energetic players.
There are no stat or IL requirements . . . so if you can queue for the run, you're welcome to join us!
We leave the drama at the door.
We are courteous, respectful, and helpful
Should an issue pop up, it is resolved quickly and with decorum.
A truly democratic structure with helm Guild rotating, and a Council and rotating Advisor to help guide and assist Alliance members, as well as resolve conflicts
What do we ask from you?
Guild Leaders
Participate in council discussions on discord or nominate someone to do so.
Participate in the moderation of the chat and application of the rules.
Lead by being an example
Make certain that your members are well familiar with our guidelines and rules
Alliance Members
Do not ask for IL, stats, experience, or other terms meant to exclude members, such as, 'looking for hdps.' If a member can queue for the run, they cannot be excluded.
Be respectful and courteous.
Keep language PG-13.
Please seek groups from inside of the Alliance and individual guilds 1st before looking elsewhere
What Guilds are currently with New Dawn?
Again, our Helm, Gauntlet, and Sword positions rotate so that all are treated equally, and our lower level guilds are given the boost they need to help grow.
