2x XP Broke?

So been leveling a character and I'm going area by area. Also, the under laying experience bar is still black and not light purple. Is the 2x XP event not working.

Leveling is extremely SLOW still! Also, I know for sure I'm not getting double XP from invocation.

I havent been leveling but I seem to be getting my over levels faster. During an event the 2x looks like normal exp, like when you go to accept a quest or hand in a quest the exp listed is the doubled version. As well as the underlaying bar will stay black, it turns purple from the double xp items you buy off the zen market.

If you really want to powerlevel have some guildmates group you up and kill stuff in the stronghold. lvl4-20 from 1 heroic, power level to 60 in a few hours. 60-70 is still a bit of a grind, but someone my guildies have gotten 3 toons to 70 during the double weekends.

Something is wrong. I have 3 characters at 70 so not a scrub. When I'm leveling and I'm just meeting the level requirements for each place I'm not getting double XP

I finished Tower District at 19
I finished Blackdagger Lake at 24
In Neverdeath Graveyard about 2/3 through and only at 30...

So my other 2 characters I made are getting x2 but one of my chara are not... Hmmmm

Yeah double XP is not working correctly because I am getting the same xp now as I was before the event started. with a 99% xp gain

I had 2 x level 61 characters and 1 x level 11 before the event started and a new character created during the event. All of these have been getting double so not sure what the problem is or whether there is a pattern to it.
