If I buy 6 months of VIP from the Zen Store, will that make my VIP level 6? Just trying to understand how the different levels work in regards to purchasing them.

Or would I have to buy in monthly increments to advance each VIP level?

Yes. If you already have rank 1 it moves you to rank 7.

Basically, I'm not a VIP member right now. What is the best "way" to buy it upfront, through the Zen store, in order to reach rank 7 VIP status? Buy 1 month first, then tack on the 6 month package (through Zen store)?

You'll be rank 6.
Basically how it works is 100 VIP points per level, and each month of VIP gives you 100 points when you buy it. So buying 6 months awares 600 VIP points which immediately levels you to VIP level 6.
I (and I guess a lot of new folks) went the route of buying 1 month first, realising how useful rank 7 would be and adding on the 6 months on top. So I'm now rank 7 VIP and injury immune. I'd do the same in your boat, buy 1 month and 6 months, order doesn't matter.

I had a question about the VIP level. Say I buy the 6 month and the 1 month and get VIP level 7, do I keep that level the whole time I'm playing or do I have to buy it again in 7 months?

Your VIP rank is permanent. Even if you were to go without VIP for one month and pick it up later for a month, you'd be rank 8 upon that purchase. However, you must have purchased VIP time for said benefits to be active.

Yeah, after 7 months you'd need to buy more VIP time to get the perks, but the points I mentioned earlier are permanent, so if you bought another month's worth in 7 months time you'd now have 800 pts and be rank 8 VIP. Even if you took time off and VIP lapsed and you came back and bought some in say 12 months time it would work the same way. However while it's lapsed you don't get any of the benefits.

Thank you very much, shontsu. That cleared it up for me, and now I'm going to grab it: 1 month VIP + 6 month VIP tacked on for the injury immunity (which is huge IMO).

i bought 2x 6month VIP im rank 12 now and the benefits will be active 4 12months, after that i can renew my vip but the max rank is 12 atm, but im hoping they will increase it

There really isn't much sense in increasing the rank beyond 12, IMO.

Yea, your VIP rank is permanent. Although, if you don't have VIP active, none of the passive abilities you get will be active until you reactivate VIP.
