Rust Monster

Can anyone tell me how long the dmg debuff of the rust monster's active bonus is supposed to last? I'm considering to buy this companion for my cleric, though it costs a lot of ad. I won't need it if the debuff only lasts for a few seconds.

    When it came out on PC it was for 30 sec and could stack three times. I'm not aware of any patch changing that, but it is possible.

    Yes I have one at Purple and it procs fairly consistently as Zeph said it stacks 3 times, even in places like EDemo when you get hit by an AoE which is map wide, it procs on Demogorgan I mean.

    I have no idea how long it lasts though.

    Hmm, if it' lasts for 30 seconds it's usable for a cleric I guess. Not that good but still better than most companion active bonuses. I guess I'm gonna buy one then.

    It is actually not bad as a Summoned Companion as he decreases the enemy Defence and Power, only problem is it does not have any Ring Slots for the new rings. It has 3 Belt slots.

    So, I just tested the dmg debuff and it lasts for.... 5 whole seconds!! Amazing! I wished I had known this before I bought it, 450k AD wasted.

    Sorry, players said it was 30sec way back when. I guess it has changed.

    One thing it does well is proc bondings faster than most, tank real well and survive well.

    5 seconds is not bad really, plus it stacks 3 times.

    Ya 5 sec can usually be ok. Thing is those ring slots. Deal breaker there. Still a big fan of the yeti for a tank companion.

    25% chance for a 5 seconds dmg debuff is bad. Only the fastest hitting mobs are going to trigger the 3 stacks. So far I have only seen the rage drake triggering all 3 stacks. Basically you run out of stacks as soon as you build them up.
    I wanted to use this to debuff bosses but if my cleric doesn't get constantly attacked to have a 100% uptime then it's a waste of money. Definetely a companion designed for tanks and not clerics.

    I have been using the Rust Monster today as my summoned companion, with 2 personalised belts and a Dragonflight Belt he is actually pretty decent. I have not noticed a loss of DPS... He Debuffs enemies damage and one of his attacks increases your damage by 5% too, I`ve grown quite fond of him :)

    Hmmm he is fairly slow to get into the battle and attack etc, I enjoyed playing with him as my Companion. Moved on now already lol and I`m playing with the Spider Woman at the moment and she is actually pretty decent.
