Just want to know why the wonders of gond is short? I was all jazzed up to earn one and I have been playing 10-12 hours a day and am just getting to the 5th item. How am I to earn enough to even get a shot at the mount when the event is not long enough? I mean do we know when the next one will be? Is there a schedule I can plan ahead for? What? This one month ahead stuff on the calendar is a joke. I want to know when the events "I" am looking for will be posted. This change the date every year sucks. We need to know more then 30 days ahead. Like when is the winter festival this year? Will it be the same as last year? Or will it change as well? I just would like to know that's all.

Do you know who Gond is?

He's a god of crafting, not smashing monsters. If you really want to get through the Gond event, you need to pick up your smithing hammer and anvil, and check your professions for unique Gond-related crafting tasks.

These tasks allow you to create and upgrade parts SUBSTANTIALLY faster than just picking up grommets from mob kills.

There is level 6 profession task on most of professions for Gond refinables but you will need hell lot of basic profession resources

That's assuming that I have the basic profession resources and that all of my crafting is above lvl 6 and I have thousands of resources and all ten crafting slots open. And they take 2 hours to complete. And even then the amount of sprokets you get will not be enough to do it. Since crafting takes having to "gather" said resources. How else am I going to get them? Mine the ore and forge them?

Buy the base resources off the AH for virtually nothing between events?

So I can wait 6 months to a year? if i save my AD for 6 months to a year I can buy anyone mount on the AH. So why make it sound like you can do this and get "that", if it's not possible to do it on a first time run? If an event is posted and I start it I should be able to get a chance to get a mount or whatever "when it goes live at that time" NOT the 2nd or 3rd it's up. Otherwise it's false advertising.

Just because you didnt forsee the event coming and prep..that doesnt mean they need to just give the top rewards away. Between bots easily doing this (the special craft should be in game only at least) and people having these resources on hand....there are a ton of the mounts already floating around.

Keep in mind too. Getting and turning in a doohicky doesnt garauntee a mount either.

I had never done it before and "how" am I to prep for something that should state that "First time players of this event might find it easier if they stock up on this and that in the description of the event. If a disclaimer was put up I would have been prepared. I was going off of other events I had participated in, this one had the worst drop rate in the game so far. The starry panther was easier to get then this.

i agree with ironzerg that you need to do your crafting for faster upgrade, but still i was able to get to rank 6 only by killing monsters...

HAHAHA, playing the game to get a reward? Good luck with that When Cryptic says "playing" it's really just a typo - they put the "L" in there on accident. This event is a money grab, you're not really supposed to be able to get the top end prizes without paying. *Some* may be able to if you play A LOT, but causal free players mean nothing to Cryptic. This event, like all the others, is a way to make you want to part with cash. Simple as that. Good? Bad? That's irrelevant, this is a business, so it's not a moral thing. Whether YOU think it's good or bad is important for you, but cryptic has shown time and time again that they don't actually care what you (we) think (even if they DO see the forums... IMO it makes it worse that they read the forums because it means they're intentionally making decisions that upset players/customers vs. taking suggestions to heart to make them game enjoyable in ways we're asking for)... instead, we get money grab events.

U Need like 5000 of the drop to get the Doohickey. I got like 1 stack from playing and bought like 50 stacks to craft 1 Doohickey and trade the Blacksmith clothes. U need pres wards too XD not much but u need XD
