Game Dificulty

I just wanted to start by saying I really loved playing this game. However, looking at the item level required for the starter dungeon ques it's absurd. Kessel's retreat is a death sentence if you aren't rocking atleast 2k item level before you go in there. The spear chucking bears hit my TANK for 70k? It's great you put a double seals weekend up but it does no good if you struggle to even get to the boss. The boss fight is comparatively easy to the mob pulls just to get there. I spend a lot of time playing this game and have spent a bit of coin on it as well. I want something challenging but I do not want a game that makes me say f$%K this game. Literally 35 deaths between all the players all over 1900 Item level with a TANK and a Healer. You have basically made this game unplayable for anyone trying to get the first tier of items in Kessels. The only gear that is manageable to get is the black ice or PVP. A straight PVE character is going to quit much like I am contemplating right now. Unless some changes are made to either scale down the damage or make the mob pulls more manageable you are going to see a massive decrease in new players and a mass exodus of the old ones. Also the continuous lag and randomly getting kicked from dungeon instances is really starting to become old. When a character get's to level 70 they really should be able to successfully manage this "1600" item level Dungeons but so far it has really been unbelievably hard. Please make some changes to make the game more playable.

"It's not the game, it's you" Oh, is that why every single person is having this issue? This patch is insanely bad. It ruined a good game, almost everyone I know is contemplating quitting because it is just absurd now. You cannot kill anything anymore and almost everything one shots you, it is not fun. In any way.

Every single person is having this issue? I know plenty of people who don't have that issue. In fact, we mess around and try stuff out in T1s all the time. We've even moved onto messing around in the T2 spider dungeon.

This game is a 'MMO'. Expecting to go in solo and have a nice solid group every time makes 0 sense. You need to find people to play with and build chemistry among the people in the dungeon. Throwing 5 willy-nilly random people together in a dungeon doesn't get the job done. Let alone, a lot of these people that complain, build their classes wrong. Yes, wrong. So many times we'll see players with atrocious builds trying to do dungeons that they could not do without being 100% carried.

You can try to argue that you're building your class properly, but....you wouldn't be having this problem with a well built class and a solid team. Instead of complaining, figure out how to better you character or if for some reason, you think you know your class so well that you're not the problem, find better people to play with.

You took all this time to come onto the forums to vent, when you could have spent that exact time finding people to play with. Use your brain a little bit. ^_^

I would re-phrase the complaint in this thread as "complexity/reward curve is now extremely uneven".
There is a huge jump in complexity between the leveling dungeons, T1 skirmishes and even campaign solo dungeons and between the new T2 dungeons with (arguably) proportional gain in the reward quality. That's cool. What lacks is something in between these, for intermediate players to better their skills and gear on. You either complete T2 and get all the rewards, or get killed 20 times trying (which is actually way more challenging) and get nothing. Awesome.

We beat Spider the First I ever tried it.Then one player had to leave. After 10 attempts to beat it for a second time we just quit out of frustration. Sux but we did beat it once. Team chemistry is manditory when running mod6 dungeons. Best if all 5 have a mics

To expand my argument about the poorly designed reward schedule. If you look at PVP side of the game, there you don't have to always win, but even when you lose you get some glory amounts, which gets you closer to some of the best gear you can buy. Not so much in PvE. Before mod 6 you could have run some easier dungeons and had a chance to loot some epic gear there or at least salvage some of the drops to save for the best gear. Now most of the best gear is non-tradable, so it's really hard to gear up to play these T2 dungeons without first being able to complete them.

You get gear from the T1 dungeons/skirmishes. The Alliance gear with proper enchants is more than sufficient to run T2s. But making them Elemental would not hurt.

^It would be nice to make elemental gear, if I wasn't stuck on Icewind to unlock the ability. Smh.

I found it kinda easy...but most of us at that time ilvl was avg 2.4. Can't say it enough...ArP, ArP, Arp. Get that up to minimum 45 to 60 and be patient folks! Once most/all boons are completed, life will be peachy again...sorta

Yes, boons help, just need a few months to grind the campaign currencies and AD to pay for them.
ArPen is indeed very helpful (for CW at least) and same is Life Steal.
I wonder if Combat Advantage is so cool as ironzerg's guide implies, or is it just specific for certain scenarios like boss killing.
And an epic mount nowadays seems to be a very useful thing.
